Repost from ASHCHARYA BANSAL
Hii sir,
I am Shaik Mohammed Khaleel, I have graduated in the year 2020 and because of covid and lock down my final exams were held in August 2020 online mode, I wanted to take coaching at Made easy but beacuse of lockdown it didnt happen.
With my preparation at college I couldn't clear GATE 2020, So i have preapred with what ever i am having in the lockdown and due to financial condition i was in need of a job (i have had TCS but i didn't want to join IT) Then i have writtten a state DSC exam in which i have got a job which grade was between clerk and attender. It was newly setup system in AP and we were the ground staff and had access to people directly so we were used in every work apart from what the job profile said (like i was having Covid test and Vaccination duties, surveys etc.,) the over all work so much that i couldn't consistently give time for preparation i have attempted GATE 2021 and got 14,000 Rank. As i was from diploma background i have started applying for those jobs also and whatever jobs notifications like sail OCTT, ISRO TA, IGCAR, SSC JE, HPCL BT, HPCL Maintenace Technician, HPCL MT etc., i have cleared HPCL Boiler Technician and also HPCl Maintenance technician but i was not given job as they came to know that i had BTech ( Btech students are ineligible for these jobs)
I couldn't clear GATE 2022, GATE 2023.
I was having a bond with my job for 3Years so i couldn't leave that job for preparation,
So i have waited for my training period to complete so i can apply for long leave. Usually the training period is for 2Y till which i get 15k and after that the basic will be 22400, but they just delayed my probation decleration by 7 months so i got my training period completed after 2Y and 7M then i have applied for 8 months leave and reached Made Easy Hyd in July 2023, Started preparing there, i have felt some gap in understanding and sitting for hours. But i have tried my best to do what ever instructed by the faculty in the class. After you have explained about how to make a short notes i have changed my way of preparing short notes. And then as i have joined late my classes completed on jan7 and then i had very limited time first i have planned of revising subjects, wb questions and PYQs but it wasnt helping so started Test series and started learing the subjects from the questions which i wasn't able to answer which made a huge impact in utilization of the remaining time. Then i have attempted Gate 2024 - got 1187 rank in ME
and Rank 30 in PI
I have also got selected in BEL - CBT ( i wasnt allowed in interview as i couldn't produce NOC on the day of interview)
BDL - MT ( CBT CLEARED)
HPCL (Engineer- CBT - GT - cleared but PI - not cleared)
NPCIL - Cleared.
The thing which you always say that our past actions doesn't matter for success but our present actions does. This made me keep going and be confident during my preparation at hyderabad.
And i also want to say whoever are preparing for gate to be confident and just focus on your preparation and not on the results

Interview: BAE Bengaluru
11/03/24
I was the first to be interviewed that day. First some forms were given to be filled for basic bio data and unit preference. Then after few minutes we were called.
Panel : 8 interviewers with PDIC GM as chairman.
1. Question from my previous job at Bajaj (My roles and responsibilities). Some questions from manufacturing operations as it was Automobile manufacturing plant like quality tools, plant layout, process, some industrial engineering basic questions.
2. Questions from Mtech project. Was asked to explain my dissertation on paper. Then they asked about tools & softwares used. Asked about ansys fluent as it was cfd project, about equations and principles used in my project. Then to designing software and asked me to design a chair and what conditions I'll choose for best design. (Good discussion on both design and simulation software)
3. Some SOM and machine design questions like bolts, welding, beams. (Baiscs)
4. Then to my bachelors project (just want to know if you're aware of it). Few questions from my BE electives like composite material, types and difference between metals and alloys.
5. Just rapid questions from material science like iron carbon diagram temperature.
Interview was completely from technical side, no HR questions were asked from me.
There are basically two work profile in BEL, D&E (development and engineering) and production, so try to steer in either of them as per your interest.
For this year interview students should expect few questions on BEL's role in Operation Sindoor, different technologies which were developed and deployed (Radars, weapon communication systems, Akash teer, etc.)
BEL upcoming projects.
BEL locations across India and what are the products and services these units develop.

BEML Interview Experience -
In the panel there were 6 people including the chairman and chairman who started the question with Tell me in brief about yourself and what was your final year project:
My project was on RAC (Design & development of Solar refrigeration system)
Then he asked questions related to projects ,like
Final result (COP)
VARS and VCRS cycle difference, why solar,
Which tube material you selected for R717 refrigerant
They didn't ask my favourite subjects, simply saying a word let's come to the design and development part,
One person asked
Tell me different types of theory of failures and their uses
Again asked if we have a casting part made of cast iron then for Strength calculation which theory of failure you will select and why?
What is the difference between fatigue and static load
And which is the most critical load for design consideration
Another person asked
Tell me different Type of Casting defects and which one is the most common defect
A part made of the same material by casting and forging which has higher strength and why
Then another person asked to Draw an iron carbon diagram and asked about the Eutectic and Eutectoid point and Explain this
Another person asked
For the Higher Pay load which IC engine you will prefer and Why,
What is the use of a torque converter and when and where it is required,
What is the second law of thermodynamics?
last One person asked which year you have passed graduation
Duration Approx :15 Minutes
Finally I got selected 👏
And Got Department
Research and Development (R&D)
Overall BEML is CPSE working for Defence , Rail and metro, Mining and Construction
So
Overall they may ask basics of subjects like ( SOM, Manufacturing TOM ,IC, Thermo and Material Science,) 99% no any derivation , they may ask something to draw on paper and specially
For freshers the final year project is important first
they will ask directly about the project
Or last we can end our introduction to say that this was my final year project,.....
And later on they may ask favourite subjects
Regards..
Amit

RBI Amendment – Impact on Stock Brokers
Effective: 1 April 2026
Here is a simple explanation of what changes and why it matters.
1.Only 100% secured funding for brokers
From April 2026, banks can give funding to brokers only against full collateral. Promoter guarantee or corporate guarantee alone will not be enough.
Earlier example:- For a ₹100 bank guarantee, a broker could give ₹50 FD + ₹50 promoter guarantee.
Now:- The entire exposure must be properly secured with acceptable collateral.
Impact:- Brokers will have to block more capital. Leverage reduces.
2.Bank Guarantees: 50% collateral, 25% cash compulsory
If a bank issues a BG of ₹100 in favour of exchange/clearing corporation:
• Minimum ₹50 must be backed by collateral
• Out of that ₹50, at least ₹25 must be pure cash
That means real cash gets locked. Not just shares. Not just guarantees.
Impact:- Higher capital blockage. Higher opportunity cost.
3.Equity collateral: Minimum 40% haircut
If shares are given as collateral, banks will apply at least 40% haircut.
Example:- Shares worth ₹1 crore → Bank counts only ₹60 lakh.
Impact:- More shares needed for same limit.
During market fall, collateral shortfall risk increases.
4.No bank funding for proprietary trading
Brokers cannot use bank money to run their own trading (prop book).
Exceptions:- Limited cases like genuine market making or short-term debt warehousing.
Impact:- Prop desks may shrink.
Higher dependence on own capital.
5.All exposure treated as Capital Market Exposure (CME)
Bank lending to brokers will fall under overall capital market exposure limits.
If a bank reaches its limit, it cannot freely increase exposure to brokers.
Impact:- Lending appetite may reduce.
Pricing (interest/BG charges) may increase.
6.Continuous collateral monitoring + margin calls
Collateral must be maintained on an ongoing basis.
Loan agreements must clearly allow banks to demand top-up if value falls.
Impact:- More frequent margin calls.
Higher treasury pressure during volatile markets.
