38th National Games - Uttarakhand ✔️ The 38th National Games were inaugurated on January 28, 2025, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Four demonstration sports – Mallakhamb, Kalaripayattu, Rafting, and Yogasana – will be showcased. ✔️ The official mascot of the 38th National Games is Mouli, inspired by the state bird of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, Monal (Tragopan pheasant). The official torch is named Tejaswini. ✔️ A total of 1,016 athletes from the host team and two athletes from Lakshadweep will participate. Athletics will have the highest number of participants. ✔️ The first-ever National Games were held in 1924 in Lahore (then part of undivided India).
