You have to give your muse attention. Nourish her as much as she nourishes you. I've barely written poetry in months because of external pressures I won't bore you with but the end result has been it was kind of crippling to engage with poetry. Unfortuantely I'm just one guy, if I'm not feeling it I can't rely or ask someone else to review and publish submissions. They just kind of pile up. Perhaps this is premature but maybe a leaf is turning, I jotted out a silly poem in the 'summer' piece above. I love essaying and writing - it's a kind of hard focus that allows me an escape and to block out certain troubles. Just write. Poetry is more delicate, you need to break down some shields. The muse of writing to me has been a closer friend during the past few months and I've nurtured her.

It brought me into this life I know nothing of quite easily. Hamsun seems at ease to write dialog as well again in this rapid fire format that brings you along. In some of the spats between the women the dialog is written with such intensity you feel almost as if you are there seeing them fight with each other."
