Is it still necessary to take the IELTS exam? With all the recent craziness surrounding IELTS, I think more people will start realizing the importance of Computer-Delivered tests. Personally, because of all these rumors, I ended up taking the IELTS on a computer more than 7 times—since the questions are randomly selected each time. That alone makes cheating nearly impossible—unless the invigilation is weak or compromised. How valid will IELTS be in the near future? I can’t say for sure, but I honestly believe that in the not-so-distant future, IELTS will go fully digital. That shift would almost completely eliminate cheating. Let’s face it—people will always try to find shortcuts instead of actually studying, but with computerized exams, that becomes way harder. What I think will also happen is that more and more alternative exams will gain popularity. Tests like TOEFL, CEFR, and Multilevel will start being taken more seriously and respected as legitimate options. So yeah, let time do its thing—we’ll see where all of this leads soon enough.

WAKE UP IT’S THE FIRST OF THE MONTH 🐄

Blindly making assumptions about people without knowing anything about them is one of the worst things anyone can do. Whether it's said as a joke or in all seriousness, it's not okay. Everyone is doing their best in their own way, and often trying to help others in the process. Same goes for the admissions process. But here’s the thing, admissions officers aren’t 15-year-olds scrolling through Reddit who decide your future based on your SAT score or 1 any other particular factor. The U.S. college system uses holistic admissions for a reason. They look at your background, your context, your story. Let’s say there’s a rich kid whose parents paid $200/hour for SAT tutoring, sent them to a top-tier boarding school and that kid got a 1600 and a 4.0 GPA. Great, Wow, Amazing. Now compare that to a kid from a rural area, who had no stable internet, went to the only school available in their region and still managed a 1500, a 4.0, and built meaningful, community-driven projects. Now ask yourself: What’s the real gap between a 1600 and a 1500 when one had everything and the other had to build their own ladder? Exactly. That’s what admissions officers look at. They try to level the playing field. So before you judge someone’s achievements, or mock them, or assume they didn’t “deserve” something, please, think twice. You never know the full picture. You don’t know the battles they fought just to stand where they are. Totally agree with Asadbek on this one. Let’s start understanding the full story. @shoks927
