SEEDS OF DESTINY DAILY DEVOTIONAL BY DR PASTOR PAUL ENENCHE TUESDAY 15TH AUGUST, 2023 TOPIC: THE LIGHT THAT DISARMS DARKNESS SCRIPTURE: And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. John 1:5. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It is light that disarms every form of darkness in a man’s life. It has been confirmed that light is one thing that constitutes a terror to the kingdom of darkness. Light is physically a threat to darkness any day. It is light that disarms every form of darkness in a man’s life. Even Satan, the epitome of darkness, knows that he is powerless before lighted people. That is why one of his greatest weapons is ignorance. When you are lighted, you cannot be afraid of the threat or attack of the enemy. One day, I had a dream of the night. In that dream, people came to attack me with dangerous weapons. They said that they were looking for me. Then I looked at them and said, “See me here!” I collected their knives and wasted all of them. When I woke up, I almost felt guilty because I wasted too many people in that dream. I told my wife that I wasted too many people in a dream the previous night. I told her that some people were looking for me with knives and I collected their knives and wasted them. On another occasion, I had a revelation where people came to attack me, and suddenly, an angel appeared and said, “Step aside. I will fight for you.” Then the angel stretched forth his hands and within split seconds, he wasted all the people who wanted to attack me. You see, to be armed with light is to be in charge of darkness. Someone may say, “I saw that I was afflicted in a dream of the night”. And another person who just hears this may say, “Ah! I pray that I do not have that kind of dream. God forbid. Lord, please let that kind of dream not come near me.” This is what the devil does when you are bankrupt of light from the Scriptures. When you are bankrupt of light or revelation from God’s Word, you are prone to every attack or threat of the devil. But when you are armed with light, you are a master over all forms of darkness, including the darkness of sickness and disease. REMEMBER THIS: It is light that disarms every form of darkness in a man’s life. ASSIGNMENTS: 1. Arm yourself with light. 2. Take the study of the Scriptures very seriously. PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace and discipline to study Your Word so I can access light. Open my eyes to see life-transforming light out of Your Word, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
