A man named Girish NL, also known as Rehan Ahmed, allegedly stabbed his girlfriend, Farida Khatoon, over 15 times in public after she turned down his marriage proposal. The incident occurred at Shalini Ground in Jayanagar V Block. Girish then went to a police station and confessed to the crime. According to Shivaprakash Devaraju, the DCP (South), the victim, Farida Khatoon, was a mother of two daughters, aged 21 and 16. Farida, originally from Kolkata, worked at a spa in Bengaluru where she met Girish, a spare car driver, in 2022. They had been dating since then. On March 28, while visiting two parks, Girish bought a knife. Later, at Shalini Ground, he proposed to Farida. When she rejected his proposal, he assaulted her and eventually stabbed her. Farida passed away between 7 pm and 7.30 pm. Girish surrendered at Jayanagar police station around 8.30 pm and is currently in custody for further investigation. 💫 @OffBeatPosting
