Suraj Siddharth, a 20-year-old BSc Chemistry student from Pattathanam Ambuja Bhavan, has been diagnosed with FSGS (Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis), a rare and serious kidney disease. He first developed symptoms such as fever and high blood pressure a year and a half ago. Despite continuous treatment and hopes for improvement, his creatinine levels have risen again, and his kidneys are now functioning at only 5%.
Doctors at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College, where he is currently undergoing treatment, have recommended an urgent kidney transplant. Unfortunately, the cost of the treatment is estimated at Rs 45 lakh, and the family is struggling to manage the expenses.
Suraj was the hope of his family. His father Siddharth is the sole breadwinner, working in a private company, while his mother Shobha is a homemaker. His sister is currently in Plus Two, and the family is already stretched thin financially.
In this difficult time, the family is seeking support from kind-hearted individuals and well-wishers to help Suraj get the treatment he urgently needs.
