Unlike most retail companies that only require simple line items list on invoice Most construction businesses is complex & have to provide collection of detailed documents, providing proof of labor & materials supplied within billing period
🚧𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞?
Document submitted by contractors to list owed amount for completed work, materials, labor charges & specified time duration
🚧𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭
Invoicing process vary based on contract agreed upon owner & contractor, but larger construction projects will most likely be on progress billing structure
Contract type(Lump sum, T&M, etc.) ultimately decides how & when to make payment
🚧𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠
Pay contractors based %work b vv vvvbcompleted, allow client to control cash outflows to match project progress Typically, issuers make payment on monthly schedule & at certain completion% (30%,60%, etc.)
🚧𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐎𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧(𝐏𝐎𝐂)
Accounting Method for long-term projects where Revenue & Expenses recognized based on periodical work% complete(Monthly basis)
Most common way to determine project’s POC is 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭-𝐓𝐨-𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐚 by comparing estimated & actual project costs
%Complete= Total Cost To Date/Total Cost Estimated
Recognized Revenue = %Complete x Contract Amount
🚧𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠
Billing based on Specific Milestone(eg. Mobilization, Material delivery, Energization, etc.)
🚧𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭
invoice line items vary depending on different factors, enforced templates, project nature etc.

🚧𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
A payment portion, typically 5-10%, withheld until predefined milestone is achieved
🚧𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐃𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
In certain contracts, if period forecasted progress threshold not met, part retention will be applied to invoice (Typically 5% invoice)
🚧𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐎𝐟 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐂𝐎𝐐)
Non Conformance Certificates (NCR) result periodical deduction to assure contractor responsible to rework at own cost
🚧𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐀𝐭 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐞
Part of progress invoice based on pre-agreed %
🚧𝐓𝐚𝐱 & 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞
Important construction invoice part. Broad & % varries depending on, awarding entity, country, business.

Plastering is coating which may apply by thin successive layers on a vertical supports of masonry or concrete with a decorative and/or protection aim or to standardize a surface need to support another coating (paint for example).
Plastering worker is a worker who works the mortar covering on walls and usually builds work where the cement or the lime is one of the main constituent.
Before starting plastering the structure which is required for plastering should chiseled used for surface to holding the mortar but in the case of ribbed slab no need of chiseling because HCB can trap the mortar easily.
🚧Plastering work has three coats (layers):-
1. First coat “በራሪ ግርፍ”
Mix proportion, 1:4 (cement sand by volume with sufficient water) of mortar.
Spread by trowel & allowed to cure for 24 hrs before applying second coat.
Has thickness of 0.5 – 1 cm , which is plastered by mortar
2. Second coat “ሙሌት”
This layer is about 1.5cm-2.5cm which is done by mortar
Mix ratio is 1:4 (cement: sand by volume)
Set for 21days, before third coat started.
3. Third coat (fine coat) “ፊኖ”
Mix ratio is 1:1 (one bag cement and one box of sand)
Which is done to make the slab, wall & column smooth
The sand for this task should be sieved to make smooth
Plastering of slab was started after leveled by” gomawuhalik” then make align by string with the needed thickness this is called locally “fasha”
Thickness for fashais take from10 up to 15-cm. In case of quantifying the plastering work all works except the gutter measured in meter square (m2) and the gutter is in meter linear
🚧Requirements of good plastering:-
It should provide smooth, non-absorb ante and washable surface.
It should not contract in volume while drying and setting.
It should adhere firmly to the surface and resist the effect of weather.

Plumb Bob
A plumb bob, plumb bob level, or plummet, is a weight, usually with a pointed tip on the bottom, suspended from a string and used as a vertical reference line, or plumb-line. It is a precursor to the spirit level and used to establish a vertical datum. It is typically made of stone, wood, or lead, but can also be made of other metals.
The instrument has been used since at least the time of ancient Egypt to ensure that constructions are "plumb", or vertical. It is also used in surveying, to establish the nadir with respect to gravity of a point in space. It is used with a variety of instruments (including levels, theodolites, and steel tapes) to set the instrument exactly over a fixed survey marker or to transcribe positions onto the ground for placing a marker.
