7 juni: Kappen met kooks! nieuwe blokkade in Haarlem Op 7 juni gaan we de N205 vóór het provinciehuis in Haarlem opnieuw blokkeren! Na onze succesvolle blokkade op 12 april heeft de Provincie de vergunning voor Kooksfabrieken 1 en 2 van Tata Steel nog steeds niet ingetrokken en moeten we wel terugkomen. Nog steeds stoten die fabrieken vrijwel dagelijks gifstoffen uit en veroorzaken zo onherstelbare schade aan de omgeving en de gezondheid van omwonenden. Tata Steel houdt zich nog steeds niet aan de voorwaarden van hun vergunningen en komt hiermee weg omdat de Omgevingsdienst bij overtredingen niet optreedt. Maar de maat is vol! Tata heeft te lang getreuzeld, en daarom moeten nu als eerste de grootste en gevaarlijkste overlastgevende installaties dicht: Kooksfabrieken 1 en 2. Wij willen dat de overheid de gezondheid van omwonenden op één zet en de vergunning voor de kooksfabrieken intrekt! Gebeurt dat niet vóór 7 juni, dan blokkeren we de N205 opnieuw. Tata Steel still does not comply with the conditions of its permits and is getting away with it because the competent authority does not act when violations occur. But enough is enough! Tata has procrastinated for too long, which is why its most dangerous and troublesome plants must be closed first. ‼️ PROTESTMARS AFGELAST ‼️ 💔 We zijn diep geschokt door het zeer buitensporige politiegeweld bij de protesten in Amsterdam en Utrecht van de afgelopen dagen. 😢 Dit extreme politiegeweld is helaas geen ‘incident’, maar is een patroon van steeds verder escalerend politiegeweld bij demonstraties. Ook bij onze eigen acties merken we dat. 👉 Na de vreselijke gebeurtenissen van de afgelopen dagen, voelt het niet goed om nu door te gaan met onze mars. De focus moet nu liggen op wat er in Amsterdam en Utrecht speelt. Dit is niet het moment voor een mars in Den Haag vanuit XR. ✊ Uit solidariteit met iedereen die in Amsterdam en Utrecht getroffen is door buitensporig politiegeweld, hebben we daarom besloten om de protestmars tegen politiegeweld in Den Haag af te gelasten. ❌ We roepen de politie, burgemeesters en universiteiten op om te stoppen met het inzetten van geweld tegen studenten en activisten. 💚 En we roepen iedereen op zich solidair te verklaren met de studenten en andere activisten die te maken hebben met extreem politiegeweld.
