Winning the FLEX Program scholarship was not a piece of cake, and I was elated when I heard that I became a finalist. All the hard work I put in paid off in the most delightful and satisfying fashion. Both of my host families allowed me to live the American life, which I watched only in movies as a kid, I wanted to experience during my participation on the program! I will forever be grateful and thankful for the moments we spent together, the amazing memories I will always cherish, and the excellent dishes my host moms cooked. I could not have found better American families and I would live with them again when I am given a chance to study in college in the USA. I thank them for hospitality, for the time they took to know me, and for accepting me as their own kid. I hope I will reunite with them soon. @java_america

As well as studying in an American high school and being a cultural representative in my host community, I also had the advantage of living with 2 amazing American host families in Minnesota, USA. Little did I know that they would become more than just hosts later on when I arrived in their house. I am immensely grateful for everything they have done for me. Opening their home to a total stranger may be a little weird and scary in a way, but they trusted me and did everything to make me feel as if I had been living there my whole life. If it were not for my first host family, I would have never had the chance to "вдыхать свободный воздух Америки," visit 7 states (California, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Washington DC, Virginia, New York, and Hawaii), and meet Connor - my second host brother. @java_america

Волонтёрить 12. Активней жить 13. Съездить куда-нибудь отдохнуть с пацанами. 14. Работать над одним проектом как минимум 15. Подружиться с целеустремленными людьми
