Then they tested these lab-made viruses in humanized mice (transgenic mice with human ACE2 receptors). One of the chimeras showed clearly higher pathogenicity — more mice died, higher viral loads, worse damage to lungs and brain compared to the control virus. This wasn’t basic surveillance. This was gain-of-function style work. 3/ The annual progress report for this research was due September 30, 2019. It wasn’t submitted until August 3, 2021 — almost TWO YEARS LATE. Yet in July 2019 (just two months after the research period ended) the grant was renewed anyway. Oversight? Then in early 2020 we got the Proximal Origin paper pushing “natural origin only” — right after key scientists had private concerns about lab features. The same people involved in the funding were suddenly shaping the public narrative.
