12 ❗ Gold bulls need another weak US data to challenge $2,365 and beyond
XAU/USD refuses to let go of the $2,352, which has been a battle zone in the past week. Despite a drop to $2,315, the precious metal is back up. Above $2,352, the next level to watch is $2,365, the peak last week. Further above, $2,407 awaits. Soft support is at $2,336, with the more significant line at $2,315. The broad trend is sideways.
Gold received a boost from ISM Manufacturing PMI, which showed deeper contraction in the industrial sector, and a more welcome easing in inflation pressures there. That sent US yields down, making yieldless Gold more attractive.
Data remains in focus today, with JOLTs on the agenda. This gauge of the labor market is watched by the Federal Reserve, so investors are also eyeing it – even though it is lagging. The figure is for April, contrary to Nonfarm Payrolls, which are for May.

13 ❗ US Crude Oil diving lower to form the Bat pattern
Strong selling pressure has resulted in the previous low of $76.14 being broken and US crude oil trading to the lowest level in 82 days. Oil recorded its largest net losses in 138 days.
From a technical perspective, there is ample scope for further losses. We have a confluence area between $69.97 and $69.47. A move to this zone would form a bullish Bat pattern.
To the upside, yesterday's strong selloff has resulted in a Marabuzo resistance level located at $75.63 (this is the midpoint of a strong negative candle). Previous support now becomes resistant at $76.14.
Conclusion: although signals for sentiment are at oversold extremes and there is ample scope for a correction to the upside, I would look for rallies to be sold.
Resistance: $75.63 (Marabuzo), $76.14 (previous support), $77.47 (bespoke)

14 NVIDIA is about to conduct a share split after the market closes on June 7, 2024. Starting from the market opening on June 10, 2024, NVIDIA expects to provide investor trading in divided contracts.
After the share split, please be aware of the following:
1. The trading volume of NVIDIA open positions will become 10 times the original lot size.
2. The "opening price" and "take-profit/stop-loss setting price" of NVIDIA's positions will become 1/10 of the original price.
3. NVIDIA’s price at the opening of the market on June 10 is expected to be approximately 1/10 of the closing price on June 7.

19 ❗ WTI Crude Oil set to extend losses toward $75 after OPEC+ opens doors to future production increases
Oil production cuts continue, but they have an expiration date. While the mandatory reductions continue, the "voluntary cuts" will be tapered down, resulting in increased quantities of oil sloshing around markets toward the end of the year.
Moreover, some countries have been "cheating", resulting in more output. With the prospects of rising production in the future, some members could already move to pump more oil.
While the most recent Chinese data was positive, the world's second-largest economy is still growing at an unsatisfactory pace. At the same time, US companies increased output on the backdrop of a slowing economy.
All in all, the picture is bearish for oil prices.
WTI Crude Oil has support at $76.13, which is the recent low, followed by the round $75 level. Further down, $74.39 is eyed – it is the 138.2% Fibonacci extension of the $76.13 range. Resistance is at $78.66, followed by $80.63. | 626 | 0 | Loading... |

You might have noticed your investments haven't been doing so great lately. The stock market has been slowing down, especially in the past few days. Let's take a look at why this is happening.
What made the market go up recently?
Earlier this year, people thought the Federal Reserve might lower interest rates. This was because of signs that the economy was cooling down, like fewer jobs being created and inflation going down. When the inflation report came out in mid-May, it showed prices weren't rising as fast as expected, which made people think the Fed would cut rates even sooner.
What's making the market go down now?
The interest rate on 10-year Treasury bonds (a safe investment) has been going up since that inflation report. This means people in the bond market aren't so sure inflation will keep going down. Also, some people at the Federal Reserve have said they might raise interest rates again if inflation doesn't slow down enough.
What's really scaring the market?
The interest rate on those 10-year Treasury bonds is getting close to the highest it's been in a long time. This is making a lot of investors nervous, so they're selling their stocks to take their profits before things get worse.
What to watch out for:
The next inflation report comes out on May 31st. This could change things, depending on whether it shows prices going up more or less than expected.
