I said it before, and I'll say it again, you need to read Chesterton, brother Based: “Modesty has moved from the organ of ambition. Modesty has settled upon the organ of conviction where it was never meant to be. A man was meant to be doubtful about himself, but undoubting about the truth: this has been exactly reversed. Nowadays the part of a man that a man does assert is exactly the part he ought not to assert-himself. The part he doubts is exactly the part he ought not to doubt - the Divine Reason... The old humility was a spur that prevented a man from stopping: not a nail in his boot that prevented him from going on. For the old humility made a man doubtful about his efforts, which might make him work harder. But the new humility makes a man doubtful about his aims, which will make him stop working altogether.”

Live your life in phases of definitive and indefinitive. The modern hustlers are stuck in the definitive. They fear being skeptical about their path. They fail to hold and analyze multiple perspectives at once. They hope this will help them progress. But counter-intuitively, this is what slows you down. When you fear skepticism or challenging your path/beliefs, you do everything to protect your belief. Your focus shifts from finding what works to proving that what you are doing will work. On the other hand, many modern philosophers are stuck in the indefinitive. They are constantly trying to hold multiple perspectives. They believe it makes them wise. But again, counter-intuitively, it slows them down. The human mind needs a definitive path to work on. It collapses if it tries to hold multiple perspectives for too long. So, live your life in phases of definitive and indefinitive. When your progress isn't picking up speed, move towards the indefinitive. When you fail to put your knowledge into action, move towards the definitive. HAVE A BASED DAY PS: The mail has been sent

Don't disappear for 6 months. Eliminate the things that don't contribute to your growth and happiness again. If you go from one extreme to the other, you will get burned out. You won't make progress and you won't change anything. You'll face resistance to change. And you'll make it about how people see you. Don't do that. You'll slip back to your old habits. Instead, gradually improve your surroundings and habits. Change small things, one by one until everything is different.

They told you lies, listen here for the truth, that lies within you: https://twitter.com/HooaFury/status/1590674858802823168

To get over your past, sometimes you have to forget other's mistakes and misdeeds. You cannot cling to other people's past and be free of yours. I am not suggesting you give people a 1000 chances while they run all over you. No. Rather, when you take that 1 chance on yourself, when you decide to begin your new life...you have to give that chance to everyone around you. This again does not mean that you have to forcefully spend more time with them in the expectation that they change. No. This is something deeper. It's about those past events that you have clinged on to. You'll eventually realize that a lot of people that you still hate, have changed. You were just destroying yourself with the feeling of hate. And for those who never changed, leave them.

While I am off writing, here's a quick update: Soon I am bringing back solo podcast, and maybe guest podcasts in the near future. This is for 1 reason - I suck at speaking. So the podcasts will be knowledge packed, but not even near to a great audio experience. Something I have learned in the past few weeks is to be authentic (H/T Hooa Fury). I have brought it into my written words and my 1-on-1 coaching. I turned my writing into words for self. And my coaching into, for lack of a better word, therapy. And now it's time for my weakest skill - speaking. Instead of a podcast, I might do YouTube with a nice whiteboard presentation. Not sure yet. But my voice is definitely coming your way. Stay tuned.

Going to be mostly inactive here this week. Fell ill 2 days back. Tried writing, but my words have lost the power. Should be back soon.

Repost from Modern Mentalities
Your biggest problem is the prospect of an easy way out. You’re not incapable of doing what it takes to get what you want. You just believe there is a shortcut to get there, and that is an issue. We’ve slowly evolved into a race of lazy beings; people who have zero desire to work. Work is what makes life meaningful. Why do you think we revere the term “life’s work” so much. “Your life’s work” is the most important thing you will ever do in your lifetime. So many false paths have been created for the careless individuals. So many seemingly easy ways to get to your desired destination without work… So many ways to avoid “life” and ‘just be happy’ Happiness has even become a goal Porn substitutes for real human sexual interaction. Video games make up for lack of socialization in teens, young adults and even some old folk. Alcohol and drugs are used to escape reality and avoid answering ‘life’s questions.’ Why read when you can just listen to podcasts. Why learn how to cook when you can just chow down on fast foods day after day. Why go out and have real life experiences when you can just watch action movies and pretend you’re the protagonist. Why work out and look great when you can just scream “acceptance!” and have a bunch of similarly lazy people rally behind you. Why do anything when there is a shortcut. If you’ve been following this formula, consciously or unconsciously, you know what it is like to live a life devoid of meaning and any iota of fulfillment. Life becomes a chore, and one you’re not very keen on performing as you literally force yourself to perform the simplest of tasks. Your life slowly becomes a nuisance to even yourself as you clog your brain with drugs, alcohol, fast foods, and damage your mind with porn and other viruses. But, you can say ‘no’ to ‘easy’ and do what needs to be done. You can always choose to change the narrative. It is your choice whether to continue living a life you’re ashamed of or to boldly and courageously take back control of your life. You can choose to live every day to the highest of standards and in accordance with your vision of a greater being. YOU, my friend, can choose to be heavenly. Make that choice today.

You can know where you'll get in life by looking at what you do when you have "time to kill". Those 10-20 minutes are when it's the easiest to create excuses without giving birth to excuses. If you can change those activities, you'll have tremendous progress in the long run. Of course, it alone can't help you reach your goals. But it makes a massive difference. Take this Sunday to identify what you do in those times and replace it with either habits you're struggling to form or with the tasks that steal your productive high energy hours.

You cannot reach your goals without understanding human nature. This is something I talk about inside my book Re-Wire. You can check it out here: re-wire.carrd.co/ Having the best strategy on reach your goals isn't enough. If it was, everyone would have what they want. After all, we almost always know what to do. We might not know the next 100 steps, but we always know the next 1. Yet, most people fail. Because never study human nature. You need to understand the mechanics behind your mental roadblocks. Study the reason behind your: - Laziness - Willpower depletion - Mistake repetition - Pleasure seeking and every other mental roadblock you have. Not just the surface level advice available on Twitter. Rather, go deep. Watch podcast. Read some research papers. Once you know why they exist, it becomes 1000x easier to beat them. I can't give you the solution to beat every roadblock, because I haven't faced them all. Only you have. And it's your duty to understand the mechanics behind them. Without it, you'll always get stuck somewhere for longer than you should.

Take time to understand this. Especially the last line.

https://t.me/basedzonechat/977 Viam shared another great addition to this problem. When you start late, you start to think you can't do it properly now, so you either delay it more or don't enjoy the process. This happens every time I fall into the trap and delay my workout or work. I start to believe the day is half over, and it's better to start tomorrow with full force. And this relates back to an old post I write: https://t.me/basedzone/764 Don't act with the aim of everything going smoothly. The day where you get everything done with "full force" isn't going to come. You have to do whatever you can do now.
