If you're genuinely trying to get your shit together, avoid anything addictive
This includes alcohol, drugs, movies, music, etc
You might not be able to quit them all at once, but you have to work on quitting them
You can't tell yourself you'll do it only once. They weren't created to be consumed once. They were created to consume a 1000 times.
Sure, maybe you can control when and when not to consume. But not right now. You don't have that power. The only power you have is to walk away.
Don't bullshit yourself into consuming anything addictive because some self help guru says you can consume them without getting attached.
Trust me, you'll get attached. And you'll get fucked up. You'll never be able to get your shit together.
Stop consuming them. Replace them with better activities like walking, meditation, reading, etc

Grand Rising everyone
Starting today, I'll be practicing active affirmations
What's this new shit?
Practicing affirmations while performing another activity
I'll be doing it while exercising. By repeating phrases similar to "I am strong" and saying it out loud if needed
I am posting this here before analyzing the results so that you can experiment with me if you want to
I'll be sharing my results in a few days or weeks. If you decide to experiment with me, do let me know how it goes
Alright, that's it for now
Have a great week and STAY BASED

Have you ever been slightly anxious or not confident when working or taking a decision?
The next time you feel the same, do this:
Something you haven't done in a while
-Play an instrument
-Drive your car
-Call an old friend
-Go on a trek
etc
Anything that might spike your anxiousness a bit. But will eventually calm you down.
You'll notice that you'll regain your confidence
How does this work?
You simply play with your mind.
Right now, your mind is playing with you. You reverse the game.
It makes you believe you suck, you remind it of the things you're good at
It makes you worry what might happen, you remind it nothing bad is going to happen
It makes you think what others might be thinking, you remind it others don't matter

Always be clear in your communications
Say what you have to. Even if it hurts the other person temporarily
It's great to have empathy in business, but not everywhere
Because the reality is, you are not hiding the truth to avoid hurting them. You're hiding the truth out of fear.
Fear that shouldn't exist inside you. After all, nothing too bad will ever happen. Unless you lie.
If you lie, the situation will always get worse. And in most cases, you'll hurt yourself tremendously.

Recently, I have been seeing a lot of people promote "not being happy" if you want to be successful
Now, before we get into the post, let's make something clear:
Neither is being "not happy",nor is being "happy" going to help you achieve anything on it's own. You can use methods as a way to help yourself take action.
And both methods work. The purpose of this post is not to deny the usefulness of inner anger, but to show you the other side.
With that being said, let's dive in.
"If you're happy with what you have right now, you won't work for more"
But, how many people do you know are actually happy?
Except for when they are eating popcorn in the cinema.
Are they happy when they enter the work office?
Not at all. But this unhappiness is not bringing them any closer to what they want. Nor are they satisfied in life. They all want more. They just don't have it.
Now, I want you to think of an activity you enjoy doing. It can be writing, singing, horse riding, driving, etc
When you are performing those activities, are you thinking about anything else? Are you worried about your small problems in life?
Absolutely not. You're focused on your work. You don't have any other thoughts. And this lack of thoughts and worry, is happiness
Happiness isn't just a smile on the face for a photo. It's when you're so focused on your work that you stop worrying.
If you manage to apply this state of "not worrying" to your work, you'll be able to complete your work, while actually being happy
How can you do that?
By doing what you love to do. And trust me, it's easier to do so that ever before
A 100 years ago you probably didn't have the option to. But rn, you can do whatever you want. Yeah, maybe the society won't be happy with it. But you'll be happy.
And as far as money is concerned, it will come with the work as long as you're consistent
PS: I haven't written this post as someone who is highly successful by the terms of society, nor do I claim to be. But the method suggested above has been helping me bring happiness into work (along with the power to deal with the suffering), and get me closer to my goals

Repost from Modern Mentalities
The most seemingly harmless way manipulation is used against you is the “you no longer have time for me” complaint made out of “love.”
Yes, they love you. It doesn’t necessarily mean they know what’s best for you. More importantly is that they love how you make them feel.
They want your constant attention and time, not because that’s beneficial to you, but for selfish reasons.
They obviously mean you no harm but will cause you much harm if you give in.
You’ll hear “you’re always available, don’t you have things to do?”
When you get busy you’ll hear “you no longer have time for me.”
I call this manipulative behavior because they try to make you feel guilty for being productive (when you prioritize work).
If you’re weak, you will suffer at the hands of all those who love you and when you’re wrecked they’ll leave you.
It won’t be their fault though, only yours.

Your mind can impact you in ways you can't fathom
It can make you anxious. It can make you confident. it can make you procrastinate.
But, it can't impact anything around you.
It can't make the Universe "align" for you. You can't imagine and bring "success" into existence. No matter how hard you try.
Stop doing all the law of attraction practices excessively. You're only fooling yourself with it.
Why would the Universe align itself for you? Out of all the problems, do you think the Universe is worried about your problems? And how do you know the Universe is a "good entity"?
The truth is, the only way to achieve something, is by getting your ass up and working. You can't have some ridiculous self help practices and expect them to work

You make a kid stand up in fear, he'll take time
You make everyone around him stand up along with him, he won't think for a second

In my last thread, I talked about how you can control your emotions. This post is an extension of the thread.
A major problem I see in people who can't control their emotions, they can't accept that they are creating their emotions.
I often get DMs from people who are either unable to get over a girl they love or their porn addiction. And it's always the same thing.
They spend a lot of time justifying why they love the person or why they are addicted. But they never focus on the fact that those emotions may be for someone else, but they made a choice to have those feelings.
As mentioned in the thread, you have trained yourself for years to have certain emotions when some specific events take place
For instance, you feel happy only when you have what you want, i.e., money, sex, food, etc.
But will you be happy when someone beats the shit out of you?
Absolutely no. Because you have trained yourself in a certain way.
Now, I am not asking you to become happy when someone beats the shit out of you. Nope. That's what a lot of self help gurus will tell you. But this post ain't about it.
Because when it comes to someone beating you, it's not about your emotion anymore. It's about the physical pain which is present for your own safety.
Simialrly, when you have an instinct that you shouldn't be with a certain person, it's your survival mechanism at work (exceptions applied)
What I am talking about in this post, is not the survival of your body or mind. But the survival of your ideas.
The idea in your mind that emotions aren't something that can be controlled.
It's so deep engraved in your brain that you aren't able to control your emotions.
Just how a lot of people keep crying over small problem even when crying is solving none of their problems. It's because they still believe that crying is helping them somehow.
Similarly, every time you fail to control your emotions, it's because you haven't yet accepted that you can control your emotions.
Yes, willpower is necessary too. But rn, the problem is not with willpower. It's with the direction you're working in.
Right now, all your efforts are put towards escaping the Truth, instead of controlling your emotions. And you need to change that.
How?
Today is the 17th of May. You have to make a promise that till the 17th of June, you'll make a conscious effort to accept that you're creating your emotions.
Every time you have feelings for someone, have the urge to do something, etc, simply accept that you're creating those emotions.
Sure, those emotions might be triggered by something external, like songs...but they are able to trigger your emotions because you have chosen what triggers your emotions
For 1 month, just do this. Accept.
During the process, if you need help with willpower or something else, I have created several posts that will help you.
But make sure that you give at least 1 month to the process of acceptance.
PS: You can use the same every time you realize that any of your current belief is wrong

Repost from Mindset Machine 𝕏
Do you know why you don’t do more to improve your life?
Or why you don’t get more done?
Well,
It’s because...
You don’t have a plan for what you have to do.
You just have a vague idea of what you expect to happen at some point in the foreseeable future.
Create a schedule for yourself and plan out your day. (Try to be specific)
The moment you start planning your day, you’re taking control of time!

Repost from Masculine Tribe
Do not let the Internet brainwash you with a false reality.
Most of the time, everyone on the Internet is happy, their life is happening, they are going places, doing adventures, getting into relationships, having fun and whatnot.
That is all just the cream of their life and that too in an exaggerated form.
Look away from the screen and what do you see?
Is everything as perfect as it seems to be on the Internet?
The real world is different, it is balanced.
There is happiness and pain.
Wins and loses.
Heartbreaks and the love stories.
A clear defined balance.
Live in the real world.
If you let your expectations from the Internet leak to the real world.
The only thing you will get is disappointment.

It's easier for the society to program than you can ever imagine
I can still remember the words we constantly heard in our school
"Humans are social animals"
"Humans are emotional creatures"
"Men and women are equal"
"Boys should cry too"
And all my friends from school, they still believe in all the crap they heard
Because it gets stored in your head. Once you hear something too many times, there's no way you don't believe in it.
For the same reason, certain societies believe in things that others can never accept
But once you question all you know with curiosity (not judgement), you'll realize how almost everything they ever told you is bullshit
But as I said, you need to question everything with curiosity. Most people think they are questioning, but they aren't.
For instance, I know women who think they are questioning the gender roles. But what they fail to realize is that they are made to believe that the only way to be great is by doing what a man does.
You can find 100s of such examples if you look out for them
The modern world will make you believe that you are questioning, while making you accept all the bullshit
Become aware of their tricks and save yourself from it

The Need for Self Improvement Hacks
In many of my posts, I have emphasized on having the right perspective and truth, rather than blindly following self improvement hacks and tricks.
Which should make you wonder: Are those hacks absolutely unnecessary, or do they hold any value?
Well, the truth is, having the right perspective and truth will only guide you towards what you truly need to do. But you're not going to change in a day. You're still gonna need time. You're still gonna face internal frictions.
And to overcome those frictions, you need self improvement hacks, like atomic habits
This does not mean that you can't change in a day. Fuck a day. You can change in a moment. No one's stopping you. But if you can't, then you can rely self improvement hacks to defeat the initial internal friction
For instance, even after realizing that all emotions are self created, you might not be able to take control over them instantaneously. But you can move your focus from "understanding your emotions for hours" to "controlling your emotions"
For another instance, have a look at yesterday's post. You'll realize that in reality, you never procrastinate. You always do what gets you what you want. And unless you change what you want, you're gonna keep doing what you're doing rn. But until you change that, nothing's stopping you from using tricks to fight the internal friction

Time for the special post I promised
As discussed in the post above, the human mind can justify all means to reach a desired a goal. Be it rape, prostitution, war, etc. It can easily justify anything.
How else do you think it makes the human do all those activities? It's exactly through those justifications. The same justifications you use when you do something that gets you further away from your goals...or so do you think.
Because in reality, your justifications are not taking you away from your goals, they are bringing you closer to your real goals. And that's how you are able to justify doing all the shit you do.
Let me explain
The justification of "means" that we talk about, isn't solely a justification of means. Rather it is the justification of means you are unable to control, that lead to goals you either don't know that you want to achieve, or to goals that you don't know why you want to achieve.
Alright, let's split that sentence up.
1. You justify the means because you're unable to control the means
2. Those means lead you to goals that:
a. You don't know that you want to achieve, or
b. You don't know why you want to achieve
Let's understand through some examples:
Think of a person riding his vehicle endlessly on a road. He follows all the traffic rules, only because he can't control his own tendency of following rules and keeping itself busy...while it does not know where he wants to go. Or, doesn't know why he wants to go.
Here, consider the means to be following "traffic signals" and "keeping itself busy". And the goal to be the point he'll stop at. The person has no control over the means, and simply uses it as a way to achieve a goal that it doesn't know why he wants to achieve
Here's another example:
Everyone wants money, a healthy body, peace of mind, etc, right? And everyone has their own ways of achieving those goals.
Well, some succeed at achieving, and some don't. We'll look at it from different perspectives.
Let's say someone claims that directing your anger is the only way to achieve wealth. While in reality, he says so only because he's unable to control his anger.
Someone might claim that being peaceful is the only way to achieve wealth. While in reality, his mind might be the most chaotic of all. Or he might want everyone to believe that being peaceful will bring wealth
What does this show you?
It shows a lack of control over the means.
Now, think about yourself
If you want to be rich, how are you able to justify not working sometimes? Because you don't want to be rich. You want the comfort, that in reality, you can get without being rich.
If you want to be healthy, how are you able to justify eating shit food everyday? Because you don't want to be healthy. You want to maybe attract girls and have sex...which you can have by watching porn. Or the taste of junk food, exceeds your want for girls.
If you want to be peaceful, you don't need anything else. Just be peaceful. But, you don't want to be peaceful. You want comfort.
What does this show you?
You either haven't accepted what you truly want, or you don't know why you want it.
And unless you have those 2 answers, believe me, either you're gonna use means that you'll regret using, or you'll never reach the goals you want
So, sit down today. And find the answer to 2 questions:
1. What is it that I truly want?
2. Why do I want it?
Even if you can get 1 answer, that's great.
And once you have the answer, fuck what society thinks. Do and achieve what you want to. Because that's all that matters.

Might post an extension to this post. A perspective you all have probably never thought of
