There's no joy in life without pain.
There's no love, achievement, excitement.
To some, pain gives meaning.
To some, pain helps them fulfill their meaning.
But without pain, life is miserable.
Without pain, life is an escape from life itself.
It's an escape from your thoughts.
It's an escape from your instinct to become something greater.
How long will you run from it?
One day, pain will catch up.
Either use it now to reach your goals or let it cause suffering.

Past traumas
There are past traumas, I will never talk about them.
Talking about past trauma ties your identity to it.
It's easier to be locked into a victim state.
I'm not saying that's how you have to do it.
But it is mine.
I don't want to be known as "the guy who survived this."
It's a sensitive subject.
Everyone has their own way of dealing with it.
It was my personal experience that brought me to this point.
At the worst time in my life, I was known for my trauma.
And once people put a label on you.
It's hard to get rid of it.
Also, without paying attention, you can get stuck in a loop of victimization.
Wounds from the past have to stay in the past.
Heal and move on.
Making your wounds your identity is a sure way to never be able to open a new chapter.

One of the most common problem I see among people (not just the new generation) is an addiction toward web-shows.
To try to solve it, I spent some time watching web shows this week. Gotta admit, it can get addictive real quick.
But it led me to make some great discoveries and I found a solution to the problem.
I'll share everything in tomorrow's newsletter.

"Experiences are best lived in the moment and analyzed in the future."
I tweeted this 2 days and I can talk endlessly about it. But let's focus on 1 of the core ideas behind the tweet that most people find too difficult to accept:
Stop living the past. Maybe you had a great experience. You saw a beautiful place or a person. You had a victory. Or you had a terrible experience. A breakup. A failure. A betrayal.
Whatever it maybe, you have to stop living it, even if it brings temporary joy.
Because soon enough, looking back becomes a habit. It creates fear. It begs you to never lose it. And this keeps you from taking the leap forward when life gives an opportunity.
You might not understand this now, so the next time you are afraid of taking an opportunity, ask yourself:
"What am I so afraid of losing"

“My dear,
In the midst of hate, I found there was, within me, an invincible love.
In the midst of tears, I found there was, within me, an invincible smile.
In the midst of chaos, I found there was, within me, an invincible calm.
I realized, through it all, that…
In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer.
And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back."

Neti pot. For those interested. It's one of my go to habits; especially as a smoker. It clogs nose. Which needs to be unclogged: sauna and neti pot - inexpensive and fast roi.

Emotions can fueled. Emotions can be generated by your mere thoughts. By they can't be made to last forever. Learn to work every day without them. Find a reason to work that drives you more than temporary emotions.

As counter intuitive as it feels in the moment, worrying (or even planning) can't help you face or change the future. You can't alter the future. You can only act and make yourself strong enough to face (or rather live) the present.

I was watching a podcast by Andrew Huberman where he mentioned something great:
Don’t practice your ability to focus. Practice your ability to refocus.
And that’s what we do in meditation. Every time our focus wanders off, we bring it back.
I used to do this in school. Whenever I felt distracted, I focused on my breaths and my focus was back.
The faster you can refocus, the better.
There’s another practice I do that I find more useful than meditation when it comes to developing the ability to re-focus:
Active Meditation (it’s not a commonly used term, just something I named it)
In active meditation, you practice meditation while performing tasks.
If you’re eating, you’re completely focused on your food.
If you’re working, you’re completely focused on working.
Even if you’re shitting, you’re completely focused on shitting.
And whenever your focus wanders off, bring it back. More than just training your mind to refocus, it also lets you enjoy the moment and exponentially increase your output.

Since Black Friday is around the corner, here's an announcement:
For the past few months, or rather weeks, I have been testing my 1-on-1 coaching with some people. And it has been a success.
If you're in my mailing list, you know I am finally taking in more people.
And the webpage for the coaching program is now live:
https://coaching.basedlibrary.com/
If you want to check the success stories and basic details of the program, you can check them on the webpage.
The coaching is for anyone who is stuck in life due to mental roadblocks and lack of clarity.
I will help you understand your mental roadblocks, craft a solution that works for you, put you into action, and share a way to make constant progress for years to come.
Does that sounds like something you need?
Fill out the qualification form on the webpage. If we can be a perfect match, we'll get on a call to share details and answer your questions.
The call is completely free of cost. Even if you're not convinced, I'll still share some tips with you.
And since Black Friday is around, I am reducing the price from $500 to $300 for whoever fills the form this week.

Anything good turns evil when you treat it as a distraction.
Movies turn from a form of art & storytelling to brain-frying elements and narratives on a screen.
Meditation and journaling lose their power and become an escape from action.
Every time you do something without knowing the reason behind it, you’re turning it into evil.
The benefits get washed off and you get all the negative harmful effects.
But once you know the “why” and act accordingly, you take control of the effects.
This is for everything you do in life.
Act with intent or someone/something else will take control of your life.
