Most people don't understand the importance of these mental exercises. Ego Driven shared another mental practice on his telegram: https://t.me/basedonia/1655 These practices can exponentially improve your real world performance as you gain better control over yourself, and better understanding of your environment. It's something that can only be experienced.

I might be paraphrasing someone here: The best ideas are executed on a walk. Your mind can get stuck on a paper (exceptions applied). On a walk, your mind flows freely. With practice, you can pause the free flow of thoughts, pick a thought and expand on it. You can even observe a change in your pace as you do so. Once you're back home, it takes just a few minutes to lay out the plan and act on it. If you ever feel stuck, do this. You can use it to solve a math problem. To understand your mental patterns. Analyze different options. Or even to practice controlling the flow of your thoughts.

Podcast Notes 1 The Tej Dosa X Hooa Fury Link: https://open.spotify.com/episode/2eyEehbMSljgXKR3us487M?si=BETG_l2zSG2JhwgUgoWaHg I have listened to many podcast appearances by Fury, and this was the best of them all. For the most part of it, I cannot give words to everything he said. So, this post will be a short one. You have to listen to the podcast to get the complete experience. But there were 3 major lessons/tips/ideas that I could give words to. They'll help you on your path to success: 1) Create an narrative or metaphor. Similar to a religion. And have faith in it. When you start to lose your purpose, hold on to it. 2) Stay in touch with the part of you outside of time. The one who is not bothered by the external. The external includes the people you’re responsible for, and the nonsense that you’re bothered by. Staying in touch can be as simple as going for coffee or working on something that matters only to you. 3) Treat your plans as sacred. Don't share them with others. Hold it in. The energy will fire you up and help you reach your goals. Have A Based Day

Every man can work real hard and still can’t have a perfect life. You can be very rich but have no real friends. You can be very healthy but you that is because you work a labour job. If you work hard enough, you will understand that luck is real. You will lose the people you love the most. You will miss the opportunities that you needed the most. You will get lonely, sad, anxious and things will turn hard. But the beauty of life is that it goes on. You meet new people, you love again, you achieve better things, you learn to live. There is always a reason to be happy for. There is always someone who look upto you for direction, help and support.

How do you help someone you care about - not the answer you expect

Competence comes from self-belief. Confidence comes from competence. Self-belief and confidence are 2 different things. Self-belief is when you believe in yourself to figure shit out. Confidence is when you have figured shit out. Mixing the 2 is what causes massive damage to your growth.

I am starting a new practice today. It's worth giving a try if you want to increase your drive and reach your goals. I'll be categorizing every win I have. It can be a small milestone or a new skill I learn. The categorizes are the characteristics of my ideal self. The idea is to see them connect and form the person I want to be. I have doing this in my mind for a long time, but it's time put this practice on paper. It helps in identifying the tasks they take you towards or away from your goals. And as you see your small wins pile up, your drive goes up. Of course this doesn't mean you start focusing on small wins that are a waste of time. For instance, creating a plan for the next 5 years that will never get executed. No. Focus on the wins that take you towards your goal in the shortest time period. If you are ever confused, ask yourself: "Can I be doing something better with my time?" Then, focus on that task and add it to your list of wins.

Have a based day 🌞

Quick lesson from the past week... My social media stats were falling lately, my engagement dropping, and stuff weren't clicking as perfectly as I like them to. I could have let it affect my energy and inspiration But instead I decided to do the exact opposite, and use the flooding technique To crank up the volume More tweets More threads More ideas More More More Of everything And that's the lesson, when things are slowing down in your life, it isn't the time to be sad or look around for someone or something to save you. It's time to crank up the volume and PUSH THROUGH the obstacles. Hope you find it helpful in your situation, talk soon. Cheers

Another aspect to this: When you repeatedly decide to go all in, and fail, you ruin the power of your words. You're wiring your mind to believe that your word means shit. And with that, it gets easier to create excuses, because you have stopped valuing your words. So, start with something you're confident in doing and add challenges on top. I do the same with my clients. First, measure the amount of work you do. Do a little less because that measurement includes your output under excitement. You want to be able to work without that excitement. Then, over time, add challenges. And when you have gained substantial control over your mind, then either go all in or increase the intensity of your challenges. Remember: Follow or create a system that works for you. Don't follow a system that's "supposed" to work.

Alright, will send the first one this week

I want to start a series where I share notes from the podcasts I love the most. There won't be a fixed frequency of posts as I'll post them only when I come across something special. Would you be interested in having something like this?

This took me a long time to learn: To go "all in" is a bullshit idea, especially in the modern age where your dopamine is fried. It sounds great. It fires you up. You feel motivated. But you never move forward. You quit. And then the gurus say: "Try once more. Winners don't quit." But you quit again. You believe something wrong with you. STOP Zoom out and think: Maybe, there's something wrong with the method. If it was supposed to work on you, it would have. But it didn't. Stop following it blindly. Understand these 2 things: 1) When you quit, you're under regret. It's an emotion. It can be channeled. You can use it to start where you stopped. But, increasing the stress isn't going to help. By punishing yourself with more work, you're amplifying stress. You're giving your survival based mind more reasons to stay down. 2) Even if you manage to go all in, you'll waste all your energy at once. A day will come when you'll need massive rest. On that day, you'll compare your present self with yesterday's self. You'll look back and realize that your output has significantly gone down. And the pattern of stress will repeat. So, stop going all in. It sounds good in your fantasies. Not in real life. Understand the functioning of your mind and create a system that works for you. Use the straight line breakthrough method I have been talking about. Start where you left and chunk your work. Once you have a system that works, you'll slowly gain control over your mind. That's when you go all in.

Digged the concept of the straight line breakthru

What does it mean to be Based? Let's start with the Google definition: "Being yourself and not caring what others think of you - to carry yourself with swagger" Now, that's a surface level answer. Let's go deeper. To me, being yourself doesn't mean saying "fuck you" to everyone. To be yourself, you need to know who you are. This includes who you were, who you are, and who you want to be. First, who you want to be. Define your ideal self. How does your ideal self look, live and behave? Stop working aimlessly. If you don't know exactly what you want to be, you'll never be happy. Next, develop a clear understanding of who you are right now. Every time you fall off path, understand your mental patterns. Understand what's going inside your mind. For instance, it can fear of external opinion. Finally, who you were. Everything you are now, is a result of your past. For instance, if your present self fears external opinion, it can be because in the past you were in the presence of someone who traumatized you whenever you went against their will. You need to have a clear understanding of how your past has shaped you. This will help you reverse the process. To continue the example above, the solution is to first zoom out. Realize that not everyone is traumatizing you. And second, write the worst case scenario of going against their will. This will help you realize that the consequences aren't as severe as you thought them to be. And that's how "be yourself". Define who you want to be. Understand why you're not getting there. Reverse the brain wiring. And then, you can stop caring what others think of you or what others tell you to do. Most people worry about others because they don't have a clear path. They don't know who they are, so they try to be others. Develop that clear path by developing a clear understanding of yourself. You'll become BASED.
