अर्जुन:
"माधव, मेरा नाम सूची में नहीं है। पीडीएफ खाली है। मैं असफल हो गया हूँ। इतनी खामोश आँसुओं भरी रातों, अनगिनत जागी हुई रातों और प्रार्थनाओं के बाद भी मैं खाली हाथ लौट रहा हूँ। आज ईश्वर ने मेरा साथ क्यों छोड़ दिया?"
कृष्ण:
"पार्थ, मेरी ओर देखो। ईश्वर ने तुम्हारा साथ नहीं छोड़ा है; उसने केवल उस द्वार को बंद किया है जो इस समय तुम्हारे लिए नहीं था।
तुम इसे पराजय मान रहे हो क्योंकि तुम अपने मूल्य को संसार के एक कागज़ के टुकड़े से आँक रहे हो। पर मैं तुम्हारे साहस, तुम्हारे अनुशासन और तुम्हारी निर्मल भक्ति को देख रहा हूँ। क्या तुम्हें लगता है कि मैं तुम्हारे जैसे वीर योद्धा को विनाश की ओर जाने दूँगा? ब्रह्मांड तुम्हें तोड़ता है केवल इसलिए कि तुम्हें पहले से अधिक अटूट बना सके।
आज रात अपने आँसुओं को मत रोको; एक योद्धा को शोक मनाने का अधिकार है। पर इस रात को यह मत मानने देना कि तुम्हारी नियति समाप्त हो गई है। यह अस्वीकार नहीं है, पार्थ। यह केवल तुम्हें एक नई दिशा देने का माध्यम है। इस अंधकार में भी मैं तुम्हारे साथ हूँ।
आज रात अपने टूटे हुए हृदय को विश्राम दो। आँसुओं को बह जाने दो। लेकिन जब सूरज उगे, तो उसके साथ तुम भी उठ खड़े होना। अपना साहस समेटो, अपना गांडीव फिर से उठाओ और अपनी यात्रा जारी रखो।
