This is awesome! About halfway through Caroline Alexander’s translation of the Iliad and loving it. For those of you who think it’s some boring nerd shit it’s not it’s sick as fuck. Stuff like this: “Drawing near, Meges the spear-famed son of Phyleus struck him through the tendons at the back of the head with his sharp spear; straight through his teeth and tongue the bronze cut, and he fell in the dust, and bit the cold bronze with his teeth” Would recommend reading the introduction section in your copy of the book as well, helped me a lot with the basic history and background needed to read.

This is a great reading challenge for anyone that wants to understand the true spirit of western civilization I haven’t done it yet but I plan to embark on this journey. This is also likely to become a part of my future homeschool curriculum I may do a post in future about the best homeschooling ideas I’ve come across

I know you havent seen me talk about crypto a lot , in fact I haven’t said much about anything recently (more on this another time) But know that crypto is something that has always interested me (TRAIN EVERYTHING) and its something that ive been investing in since 2017 Crypto is the catalyst that originally got me back on twitter in 2017 as an observer. (I didnt start posting until I read IPB’s unfair advantage) Some sharp plays I made in 2017 were what gave me the extra edge I needed to break free from the workforce and its been all up since then I can dive deeper into my history in the space in the comments but thats not what this post is for I am here to tell you that it is absolutely essential for you to start paying attention to crypto right NOW and I feel I have a responsibility to make you aware of whats going on We are about to get another generational wealth opportunity and you have to take advantage of it Now I wouldnt consider myself some technical expert that understands the blockchain at a Vitalik level, and I don’t have an economics degree from Deloitte But I am an expert at calculated risk, finding opportunities, and predicting possible outcomes. I have always had a good nose for when and where to put my energy and focus. I am also good at finding the best information sources and condensing their info into sharp actionable steps And I say all this to say, idk what you are paying attention to right now. Whether it’s a job, a business, your family, a practice. But you need to start pushing some of that to side and lock in on these coins Crypto seemed to be pretty dead for a while but it’s not anymore, and when crypto is alive thats the main thing you need to focus on. It’s really that cut and dry. The next run is going to be incredible and I honestly don’t know how many more opportunities like this we will get. My guess is we will get this bullrun and possibly one more afterwards Beyond that I have no confidence due to the current state of the world So it is essential that act now, there may never be a wealth transfer opportunity like this again and it is only going to become increasingly difficult to get rich no matter what industry you are in Over the next year and a half you have an opportunity to permanently change the current and future lives of everyone you care about. Do not waste it

How to position yourself for the new year: A lot of people think that new year goal setting is BS and you could have just done it on a random day in August vs waiting till the end of year. Although that is partially true, there is something to be said about markets and momentum. You don’t have a goal in isolation. Your goal isn't in a void. Most likely your goal is dependent on a myriad of external factors. Health, wealth, relationships whatever it is that your goal is in, there will be external factors. And these external factors are always dependent on other people in some capacity. Maybe you have a financial goal that requires 10 new buyers. Do you think if you cold email them in the middle of a hot summer day when they want to enjoy lunch at the park with their family you will have that great of luck? Or it will be better when they are seeing their competitors crushing Q1 and they feel left behind and want new ways to grow? Maybe you have a fitness goal. Do you think it will be easier to capitalize on new year promos and hire chefs, fitness coaches etc or just go walk into a random gym to find the best deal for you on a random day of the year? Same with relationships and everything you can set a goal in. Bottom line is: your goals are NOT in a void. There is a market where your goals need to find a place and in that market there will be ebb and flow. That ebb and flow will give yield to momentum. You want to capitalize on that. Hopefully you can see how important the new year is now based on the above examples. With that being said, here is a simple structure to smash new year: -- Go through the previous year and ask if “If I were to go back, how would I do a 10x, knowing what I know now.” This might take a few days to process. Ideally you want to sleep on it -- Now plan next year based on your lessons. Write a list of mistakes you made and how you plan to not repeat them. -- Write goals - process based and outcome based. -- Start getting into the groove BEFORE the new year, so when the year starts, you are already in motion. That’s all there is to it. Super simple and effective. Holidays are a perfect time to reflect and analyze. Your sole goal should be to iterate on the learnings from the year so you can accelerate next year faster than you did this previous year.
