This world was never ours to keep. That the things we lose sleep over, the things we try so hard to hold on to will not follow us into that narrow space beneath the soil.
One day, it will be us.
Our name will be spoken in past tense. Our body carried by the hands of others. Our deeds and only our deeds will be accompanying us.
No more titles.
No more beauty.
No more validation.
Just us and Allah.
So while we are still breathing,
while our book of deeds is still open, may we choose better.
Pray with more presence.
Repent more sincerely. Forgive more easily. Detach our hearts from what does not last.
اللهم اغفر لهم وارحمهم وعافهم واعفُ عنهم
Allahumma ighfir lahum warhamhum, wa ‘afihim wa‘fu ‘anhum.
O Allah, forgive them, have mercy on them, grant them well-being, and pardon them. Aamiin 🤍

Repost from a علم diary 🌷
Types of patience that are found in the fast :
• Patience upon the obedience of Allah
• Patience in refraining from what Allah forbid
• Patience upon the destressing ( conditions ) decreed by Allah such as hunger , thirst , weakness of body and soul

for those who are grieving this ramadhan,
may your heart find peace amidst the turmoils of life.
may it remain rooted in the deen, in faith, in Allah — no matter how dire your circumstances may be.
may every sorrow your heart carries, every teardrop that falls from your cheeks, every unspoken word you’ve kept inside — be replaced by Allah with His Nur, His Rahmah, and His Love, until your heart feels lighter and calmer.
may Allah reward every heart that endures silent struggles, day and night, with endless bliss and eternal happiness in the Hereafter.
may this Ramadhan fill your heart with immense strength, patience, and peace. 🤲🏼🤍
may the people you’ve lost never cause you to lose yourself. But if you do lose yourself in the grief, I pray you find Allah along the way 🫂

The Mufti of the State, Dr. Nazirudin Mohd Nasir, said that tomorrow, 18 February, marks the completion of the month of Sha'ban because the new moon of Ramadan was not visible above the horizon in Singapore at sunset earlier this evening.
Therefore, he announced that the beginning of Ramadan 1447 Hijrah falls on 19 February 2026 ✨

For those who are grieving this Ramadhan..🤍
Ramadhan can feel different this year. Quieter. Heavier. Emptier at the table.
Not only the grief of death.
But the grief of what could have been. The grief of a divorce.
Family ties that feel strained.
Silent treatments at home.
Smiles that no longer feel real.
Ramadhan can feel heavy when your heart is unsettled. When you’re fasting with a lump in your throat. When you make du‘a and don’t even know what to ask for anymore.
But Allah knows.
This Ramadhan is not only for the “happy and healed.” It is for the heart that is still mending.
Maybe this year, your ibadah looks different. Maybe your biggest jihad is just showing up to pray.
Maybe your strongest act of worship is choosing patience over reaction.
And that counts.
Ramadhan is a month of return.
Not to people. But to Allah.
Let your heartbreak push you closer to Him, not away. Let your loneliness become sujud. Let your confusion become du‘a.
Sometimes Allah removes people
to make space for Him in your heart. And sometimes what feels like loss is actually protection.
This Ramadhan, heal slowly.
Pray honestly. Cry if you need to.
Allah is closer than the one who left. 🤍

Every time you recite “Siratal-ladhina an‘amta ‘alayhim” in Surah Al-Fatihah, you are asking Allah to place you on the path of the women He loves.
The path of Maryam.
The path of Asiyah.
The path of Khadijah.
The path of Fatimah.
You are not just asking for direction. You are asking to become someone worthy of His favour.
So walk gently.
Guard your prayers.
Protect your modesty.
Purify your heart.
Because the straight path is not just something we say
it is something we strive to live, every single day.
May Allah make us among those He has blessed. Aamiin 🤲🏻

Friday Sunnah Reminders 🤍📿
Jumu‘ah is the most blessed day of the week, honoured by Allah and described by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as the best day.
Key Sunnahs of Friday:
1. Send abundant selawat upon Rasulullah ﷺ
Rasulullah ﷺ said:
“The person closest to me on the Day of Resurrection is the one who sent the most Selawat upon me.”
— Sunan Al-Tirmidhi 484
2. Read Surah Al-Kahfi (first 10, last 10, or ideally the whole surah)
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever reads Surah Al-Kahf on Friday, he will be illuminated with light between the two Fridays.”
— Narrated by al-Haakim; graded Sahih by al-Albaani
3. Perform ghusl (Jumu‘ah bath) and maintain cleanliness
Abu Sa‘id Al-Khudri reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“The taking of a bath on Friday is compulsory for every Muslim who has attained puberty, and also cleaning of the teeth with siwak and using perfume if available.”
— Sahih Bukhari
4. Wear fragrance and presentable clothing
Allah says:
“Put on your adornment on every occasion of prayer.”
— Surah Al-A‘raf 7:31
5. Make du‘a to Allah abundantly
6. Trim nails and observe fitrah practices
Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported:
“Five are from the fitrah: circumcision, removing hair below the navel, trimming the moustache, trimming the nails, and removing underarm hair.”
7. Increase du‘a between Asr and Maghrib
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“On this day there is a time when no Muslim stands and prays, asking Allah for something, but Allah will grant it to him.”
— Bukhari & Muslim
Ibn Al-Qayyim رحمه الله said this special hour is:
“The last hour after Asr.”
— Abu Dawud & An-Nasa’i
Even if you can’t do everything, don’t leave everything. May Allah accept our deeds and ease our affairs. 🕊
