🇺🇸British scientist plotted with senior US health official to shut down Covid lab leak theory, court documents allege
A British scientist involved in animal experiments at the Chinese lab suspected of being behind the Covid-19 outbreak has been accused of plotting with a US health official to muzzle the theory.
US court documents allege zoologist Dr Peter Daszak conspired with David Morens to disrupt suspicions that the research may have caused the global pandemic.
They claim the former president of US-based non-governmental organisation EcoHealth Alliance sent bottles of wine to Morens, then a senior figure at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, to thank him for 'behind the scenes shenanigans'. Other gifts supposedly offered to the official, who offered to get Dr Daszak's work 're-funded', included dinners at Michelin-starred restaurants.

🛸The push for UFO disclosure intensifies as pressure mounts on Donald Trump
A growing number of advocates are pressing President Trump to reveal what they believe is evidence of advanced non‑human intelligence and its technologies interacting with humanity, an effort that has accelerated in recent days.
The push follows new remarks from Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) whistleblower and former U.S. Air Force intelligence officer David Grusch, who appeared last week on the Dr Phil podcast, urging the Trump administration to take decisive action on the UAP issue.
Grusch's comments come as Stephen Miller, one of Trump's closest and longest‑serving advisers, has reportedly been asked by the President to examine the UAP portfolio.

UN and Red Cross demand immediate global rules on autonomous weapons amid rising AI threats
Leaders warn of moral and legal dangers as fully autonomous arms near deployment, urging binding treaties to prevent unchecked use in warfare.
The United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres and the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Mirjana Spoljaric, issued a joint warning on Tuesday, stating that the world is "dangerously close to crossing a moral red line: the autonomous targeting of humans by machines." "Negotiations must begin now to urgently adopt a legally binding instrument to regulate autonomous weapon systems with clear prohibitions and restrictions," the leaders stated.

Social trust is a superpower
"Trust is the foundation of society.
Where there is no truth, there can be no trust, and where there is no trust, there can be no society.
Where there is society, there is trust, and where there is trust, there is something upon which it is supported." — Frederick Douglass, Composite Nation (1867) Few people are aware of the fact that a group of mutually-unfamiliar chimpanzees would tear each other to bits simply for lack of trust.
Each wouldn't know enough about the others to feel safe not lashing out first.

The flood hit early on Wednesday in Rasuwa, just north of Nepal's capital Kathmandu, with preliminary information suggesting it was caused by an earthquake triggering an avalanche with melted snow pouring into the Bhote Koshi river.

State media in China, which controls Tibet, say there are significant casualties and Nepalese officials said they anticipate "huge scale loss".

Exclusive: can Trump get an exit without calling it an exit?
This is what's really happening inside the room - actually rooms: deeply privileged, confidential information coming from both centers of gravity in the current drama, Tehran and Islamabad, point towards an emerging architecture way beyond Washington's trademark splash choreography.
As it stands, we may use the intel we have been receiving to understand the architecture, to sharpen our questions, and to draw a remarkably coherent picture.
In a nutshell: the Trump administration is somewhat parking the kinetic track while Tehran keeps the escalation ladder loaded.
Perils abound.

🇨🇦Did Mark Carney just sign Canada's economic death warrant?
Canadian Prime Minister and WEF globalist Mark Carney has been a disaster for Canada since he entered office.
There were many critics who believed the Trudeau regime could not be topped in terms of self destructive behavior, but one could easily argue that Carney is far more dangerous and far more devious.
This week the Canadian government abandoned a nearly finalized trade deal with the US in the final hour of talks, leaving many analysts (and Canadians) bewildered.
According to U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer and related reports on the negotiations, the U.S. offered significant tariff reductions that would have given Canada preferential treatment relative to other major exporters.

🇮🇱Israel may be about to destroy its greatest diplomatic victory
The joint statement issued by the foreign ministers of eight Arab and Muslim countries was one of the clearest diplomatic signals of recent weeks.
Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Pakistan, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, and the United Arab Emirates did more than condemn Israel's E1 settlement project.
They demanded that the plan be halted, the decisions approving it reversed, and sanctions considered against individuals and entities involved in settlement expansion.
The signatories also reaffirmed that an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, remains the only viable path toward a lasting settlement, according to an official statement released by the UAE Foreign Ministry.

🇮🇷Has Trump turned the tables on Iran - or is another round of war coming?
For the first time, Trump thinks time is on his side.
But Iran appears unfazed - for now The Trump administration believes it has turned the tables on Iran.
Washington assesses that the rerouting of maritime traffic through the Omani corridor, combined with a global shift away from Persian Gulf oil, has reduced the effectiveness of Tehran's closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
At the same time, the U.S. blockade has sharply constrained Iran's ability to sell its oil.

🇵🇱Ukrainian neo-Nazism is visible even to 'Russophobiс' Poland - Putin
The "foundations" of the current state have become a source of serious concern for Warsaw, the Russian president has said.
The neo-Nazi nature of the current Ukrainian regime has become so visible that even Polish authorities, who are gripped by Russophobia, cannot help but see it, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said.
According to him, Poland simply cannot ignore the "obvious demand" of its own people to address the issue.
Ukraine's open, state-sponsored glorification of World War II-era nationalists who collaborated with Nazis on multiple occasions and were responsible for the ethnic cleansing of Poles has driven a major wedge between Kiev and Warsaw.

ICE wants our emails
When a government agency comes to an internet service provider demanding information about Americans because of what they have said on social media, the provider should discard the demand, close the door or hang up the phone.
The government is not entitled to rummage through the political opinions, associations, criticisms and angry rhetoric of anyone merely because a government official finds those opinions offensive, threatening to an agency's reputation or inconvenient to its mission.
Recently, Immigration and Customs Enforcement has dramatically expanded its monitoring of social media platforms and has issued administrative subpoenas seeking information identifying users whose posts have criticized ICE. The reported investigations have included Americans and aliens who have not been charged with crimes.

Fake polls: Rahil Prakash and the license to lie
In this political season, there is one question that needs no poll: Rahil Prakash is a liar.
The other thing we know is that he will likely get away with spreading fake polling results.
Lies can be protected speech under the First Amendment and, while Prakash would not likely want to take a popularity poll, he is unlikely to face legal consequences for his "short-term social experiment." We still do not know much about the twenty-one-year-old college graduate who reportedly admitted to releasing fake polling in the last election cycle.
What we do know is that he succeeded and such polls can influence critical campaign decisions.

DEI refuses to die
Although the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and civil rights laws dating back to 1866 prohibit nearly all racial preferences, most Americans oppose these preferences, and Donald Trump was elected vowing to eliminate DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) - progressives won't give up.
Their race-obsessed thinking reduces America to intersectional classifications of oppressed and oppressor.
This addled concept is a self-defeating dialectic in which no amount of progress on race relations is ever enough - or even acknowledged.
Despite enormous advances, with the possible exception of Palestinians and transgender people, no group is seen as more oppressed and deserving of preferences than African Americans.
