Freshman Academy x Teachers for All Collaboration Yesterday, the Freshman Alumni had a 1-hour discussion with the leaders of the Teachers for All network in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. In particular, we met these distinguished guests: • Feodor Shebertsov, Founder of Teach For Central Asia • Maria Polyakova,Head of Recruitment at Teach For Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬 • Nigina Rakhmonova, Head of Recruitment and Selection at Teach For Uzbekistan 🇺🇿 • Dilara Kussainova, Educational Program Manager at Teach For Qazaqstan 🇰🇿 Teach For All aims to bridge the educational gap by inviting highly skilled graduates of international universities to teach at local public schools, giving them a ground-up perspective of the education system. The Program proved successful in 60+ countries, while its many graduates were later admitted to prestigious Master's Programs and even became Ministers. Freshman Academy will support the initiative with our network of students who started, run, or participate in Central Asian societies at the world's best universities. Logo Re-Fresh Freshman Academy goes global. Last year, we started working with the students from China. This year, we are planning to launch an office in Singapore. We are building an international community of academicians, policy-makers, business people, and other professionals at the Freshman Alumni Network. Our Admissions Program goes full speed as the students already in May produce their research papers, brainstorm motivational essays, build ECs, and draft resumes. How to Conduct Undergraduate Research? #FreshmanProSeries Freshman Pro Series is a line-up of bi-weekly events where top-notch professionals and scholars will introduce you to their craft.  Title: Research Project Blueprint: Essential Steps for a Successful Undergraduate Paper About: The seminar will cover the practical aspects of conducting a successful research project, from initial steps to final editing. We will focus on the research methodology for STEM subjects, but this seminar will also cover Social Science research.  Speaker: Khondamir is a Grinnell College alumnus and US-based scholar. He presented his cutting-edge neurological research at prestigious conferences such as the Society for Neuroscience Meeting.  Moreover, Neuroscience and the International Journal of Molecular Sciences published his papers for their scholarly contribution. Khondamir will soon pursue his PhD at the University of Virginia. When: May 3 at 9 pm, Tashkent time This event is free for the Alumni Network members. Freshman Co-op Assistant: Admissions Program and Full Support 2024 Freshman Academy's Admissions and Full Support programs require extensive financial and time resources. Therefore, the programs' costs may be an insurmountable barrier for some students. Every year, we have selected a few such students, extending them an opportunity to join the Freshman team as teachers' assistants and social media interns, thus compensating for the program's expenses. Beginning in 2024, we are excited to launch such an assistance for the wider public. The Admissions Program Co-op is an opportunity for students from families who cannot afford the Admissions Program. Due to limited resources, we can only admit one student per cohort. The program will require submitting financial documents and additional interviews. It is entirely need-based, not merit-based.
