Climate change is not only changing our environment — we are living its impacts. As extreme heat becomes an increasing challenge, it affects health, livelihoods, and the safety of communities most exposed to it. This is where climate adaptation matters: understanding climate-related risks and turning awareness into practical action. In Red Sea State, SuDRO’s heatstroke prevention initiative in Port Sudan brought this approach to the field, raising awareness among port workers and community members about heat-related health risks and prevention. Day 2  Health knowledge creates impact when it can be turned into awareness. On Day 2 of the Health Reach training, 35 volunteers from the Gezira State Team strengthened their knowledge of cholera, dengue fever, and other transmitted diseases, with a focus on prevention, transmission, dehydration, rehydration, and personal hygiene. The day concluded with a practical exercise, where volunteers transformed their learning into clear, audience-appropriate health messages. Two days of training. Stronger knowledge. Stronger readiness for the field.
