▶️ Building a Used Water Underground Super Highway 👷🏻‍♀️Chief Engineer Woo Lai Lynn from PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency, explains in depth the engineering and technology that goes into building the Deep Tunnel Sewerage System (DTSS) project, a long-term solution for Singapore’s used water management that works entirely by gravity.  The process of constructing the DTSS was made more efficient through the use of a smart tunnel monitoring system – the Shaft and Tunnel Excavation System (STEMS). This technology platform provided real-time updates on the location of the tunnel boring machines and the ground conditions, ensuring that operations go smoothly and remain safe. BCA recently renewed the Certificate of Recognition for accreditation schemes for Managing Agents (MAs), administered by the Association of Property and Facility Managers (APFM) and Association of Strata Managers (ASM). Valid through June 2027, this renewal underscores the importance of training and raising professionalism and competency among MAs, both at the individual and firm level. A presentation ceremony was held on 27 June where representatives from APFM & ASM received the Certificate of Recognition from BCA. Accreditation provides MAs with professional recognition and equips them with essential skills to deliver quality services to clients. More than 700 MA individuals and 36 firms are already accredited, and it is timely for MAs who are still on the fence to give a serious think about accreditation.
