02 St. Philip the Apostle Russian Orthodox Church in Sharkah, United Arab Emirates. Completed in 2011, it is a stavropegial church of the Moscow Patriarchate. The church bears golden crosses on each of its five domes, a feature rarely permitted for churches built in Muslim countries. These crosses were made in Russia, and the iconostasis of the church is no less impressive. While Christianity is still small in the Arabian Peninsula, this church cuts an imposing figure and reminds everyone who sees it of the glory that Christ is rightly given. The clergy from this parish also pastor the faithful of the Church in various cities of Iran, carrying out the blessed works of the Church in a hostile land. | 48 | 0 | Loading... |
03 I share articles, such as the above, because it seems to me that even though the "masses" are constantly feed an "us vs. them" narrative (from whatever "side') in the long run the same underlying goals are being promoted - carbon tax, biometric tracking, medical control, and so forth - i.e. a technocratic method of government. It is offered in either a "unipolar" or "multipolar" flavor; either "liberal" or "conservative," and so forth. I'm looking for the neither box to check. I have no real interest in being "anti-Russian" or "pro-Russian" or "anti-America" or "pro-America." In the long run the "masses" need to be given "enemies" to blame and hate. It seems to me that there is no earthly savior coming, we must repent and put our hope completely in our Lord Jesus Christ and His eternal Kingdom, which is ultimately not of this world. | 49 | 3 | Loading... |

Temptations assault us from every direction, especially the passion of lust and carnality, in this modern age. This small prayer rule for purity (taken from an out of print rule) is supplemented with additional prayers and quotes from the Holy Fathers and Holy Scripture on how to combat against these passions with the help of our Lord Jesus Christ. "Prayers for Purity" can be especially useful for both men, and women alike repenting from pornography addiction along with the other passions of the flesh.
The Greek term for repentance, μετανοια, denotes a change of mind, a reorientation, a fundamental transformation of outlook, of man's vision of the world and of himself, and a new way of loving others and God.
This prayer book is 5 x 7 inches in size, 42 pages in length and was printed in the United States.

20 St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Paris, France. Completed in 1861, it is the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Russian Orthodox Churches in Western Europe under the Moscow Patriarchate, though this body operated under the Ecumenical Patriarchate until 2019. The parish itself precedes the construction of the cathedral, and was inaugurated in 1816 with a decree by Tsar Alexander I. Today the cathedral and the archdiocese occupy a key point of intersection between the Russian Orthodox Church and French society, with Met. Jean being a Frenchman and famous French actor Gérard Depardieu being baptized at the cathedral in 2020.
