🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂 https://t.me/BEASTEXAMS *INTER SCIENCE TRIAL 2022* *Questions* a) State two precautions each to be taken when carrying out the following practices in fish farming: (i) stocking of pond with fingerlings; (ii) feeding of growing fish in a pond (b) State one function each of the following reproductive hormones: (i) oestrogen; (ii) testosterone (iii) progesterone (iv)prolactin (c)Explain each of the following observations: (i)A balloon filled with hydrogen gas floats in air. (ii) A ship made of steel float in water. (d) (i) What are fats? (ii) Slate two differences between fats and oils. (e)State two ways of ensuring that information store on a diskette is not lost 🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂 *Answers* (a)(i). Precautions to be taken when stocking ponds with fingerlings - Starve fingerlings for 24 hours before transportation - Ensure that water in which fingerlings were before transferring into pond is of the same temperature as that of the pond - Stock ponds with right number offish to avoid overcrowding - Do not throw fish into the pond but should be allowed to swim out of their container into the pond. (ii). Precautions during feeding - Avoid over feeding fish - Feed with high protein content should be given to the fingerlings - Accumulation of uneaten food in the pond must be prevented. (b)(i). Functions of oestrogen Responsible for the development of female secondary sexual characteristics (ii). Functions of tetosterone It is responsible for the development of the male secondary sexual characteristics (iii).Functions of Progesterone It inhibits ovulation Makes the uterus very muscular Sustain pregnancy Regulates menstrual cycle (iv) Function ofprolactin It produces and releases breast milk (c) (i) Why ballon filled with hydrogen gas floats in air The average density of the balloon containing hydrogen gas is less than the density of air. The weight of air which will be displaced by the balloon with hydrogen gas is greater than that of the balloon. The balloon is acted upon by a resultant upward force equal to the difference between the balloon and the weight of air. (ii) Why steel ship floats on water The ship floats because it is hollow, hence its average density is less than that of water. As a result it displaces water equal to its weight. (d) (i).Fats - are solid esters obtained from the reaction between glycerol and long chain carboxylic acid. https://t.me/BEASTEXAMS

Solution to Question 2 Ditto ditto 💯 @beastexams Born in 1934 in Accra, Ghana, where he lives and works, Ablade Glover graduated from the Kumasi University of Science and Technology, the Central School of Art and Design in London (1959-1962), and the University of Newcastle on Tyne (1964-1965). He continued his studies at Kent State University where he obtained a Master's degree and at Ohio State University where he obtained a PhD (1974). After his Ph.D., Professor Ablade Glover taught at the College of Art of Kumasi University until 1998 where he became Head of Department and Dean of the School of Fine Arts. He received the Flagstar Award from the Arts Critics and Reviewers Association of Ghana (ACRAG) in 1998 and was also honored with the Alumni Award from the African-American Institute in New York. He is a permanent member of the Royal Society of Arts in London, featured in the Artists Who's Who's, in the Dictionary of Contemporary International Artists and in the Bénézit (reference dictionary of painters, sculptors and engravers from around the world). He is the founder of the Artists Alliance Gallery which took root with a previous gallery he created in the 60s. This gallery which showcases Pr. Glover's works also exposes the works of other famous artists such as Qusu-Ankomah , George O. Hugues, as well as local handicrafts. His favorite themes are constant: the women and mothers from Africa, market scenes that in his eyes are the link between the village and the city, the past and the present, crowds and landscapes. His compositions seem at first abstract but at a distance, reveal very realistic, teeming with life and colors. His painting technique reflects a very Westem style and classicism. Using the warm hues of his country, he portrays vibrant scenes of Ghanaian life.

Today we might think of the steam engine as a symbol of a bygone era, but during the Renaissance, it was one of the hottest discoveries to be made. One of the most important inventions in the centuries leading up to the Industrial Revolution, the steam engine allowed for major developments to be made in agriculture, mining, manufacture and transportation. So, who do we have to thank for this mighty invention? The great English engineer Thomas Savery made the first practical and effective steam engine, designed for pumping out water in 1698, a process he concisely termed “water by fire.” His invention relied on steam pressure, which had a tendency to blow ump, so it wasn’t entirely foolproof. In 1712, an English ironmonger and inventor named Thomas Newcomen came up with a be tter version, which safety valves, and his nifty invention remained in use for over 50 years. @beastexams
