1.International date line is to designate the spot where the time zones are different enough that makes events happen on two different days. For example, on one side of the line, it is Monday, and on the other side of the line, Sunday.
2.International date line functions as a “line of demarcation” separating two consecutive calendar dates. When you cross the date line, you become a time traveler of sorts! Cross to the west and it’s one day later; cross back and you’ve “gone back in time."

3 a) i) Political Cooperation involves cooperation among governments of different states working together toward a common goal on political lines. This cooperation can occur in areas like military alliances, economic affairs, and the deciding of territorial boundaries.
ii) Cultural Cooperation refers to formalized collaborations that involve cultural actors across national boundaries, and aim at disseminating knowledge, culture, and artworks.
b) Ways of Maintaining Unity among Countries are;
i) Respect for other cultures -There is a need for the various ethnic groups to have respect for the cultures (beliefs, values, language, etc.) of people from different ethnic backgrounds. This will put an end to ethnic conflict and promote peace in the country.
ii) Encouraging ethnic marriages -Inter-ethnic marriages foster mutual love and enhance appreciation and acceptability of each tribe's cultural values. On the whole, inter-ethnic marriages promote social and national cohesion as well as peace and understanding.
iii) Public Education - Education of the public on the uniqueness of each ethnic group in the country to remove their negative perception about people from other ethnic organizations, schools, community leaders, as well as religious organizations should take an active part in the campaign.
iv) We need to be patriotic and development conscious - There is a need to be patriotic and conscious of the development of the community. Unity among ethnic groups in Ghana will make the people see themselves as one nation with a common destiny and the various ethnic groups must think of development and work to improve the lives of their people.
v) We need to value peace and stability -To forge national unity, a neutral language such as the English language is the best choice. It brings the various ethnic groups together without any I'll feel.
