🟠 Announcing OpenBridge 🟠 Now, applications can secure high-value transactions using multiple crosschain protocols. Applications can combine multiple interoperability protocols or bridges in a single transaction, requiring verification from some or all of them. This configuration, sometimes called x of y of n, can be used to enhance security for high-value transactions. OpenBridge is brought to you by Axelar developer @interop_labs and blockchain security leader @OpenZeppelin - the same teams that led development of the ERC-7786 standard endorsed by the Ethereum Foundation Interoperability Working Group. A proposal will soon be posted to upgrade the Axelar Network on Wednesday, December 18. The proposal will be subject to on-chain governance. If approved, it will cause an upgrade starting at 10:30AM EST (3:30 p.m UTC, Block 15,890,800). This release will enable the mainnet deployment of ITS Hub. See the v1.1.2 changelog for more details on the release (https://github.com/axelarnetwork/axelar-core/releases/tag/v1.1.2). The upgrade is expected to last approximately two hours. The Axelar network, Satellite, token transfers and General Message Passing will not be available between the hours of 3pm and 5pm UTC. The live proposal will be posted on axelarscan.io/proposals.
