Re-cap: 2nd of May in Odessa

For everyone out of the loop of what happened in Odesa on the 2nd May, 2014 I will try to summarize. When the Maidan-Revolution was sucessfull and Yanukovych was ousted and fled to Russia, the Kremlin sent their agents into Ukraine, often soldiers with unmarked uniforms and started a sort of proxy-war. The first thing they did was occupy police stations/goverment buildings in every major Ukrainian city. In Donetsk/Luhansk this tactic worked, in other cities it failed and they were kicked out. During those events in Odesa, the separatists shot and killed 2 Ukrainians, wounding many more. The ensuing rage from the pro-Ukrainian crowd forced the Russians to seek shelter and they barricaded themselves in the Trade Union House, the Pro-Russia fighters began throwing masonry and petrol bombs from the roof on to the crowd below. Medics at the scene said pro-Russia fighters were also shooting on the crowd from the roof. Eventually the building caught fire and because the building was barricaded they trapped themselves. In the aftermath, 42 Russians burned to death and at least five Ukrainians with bullet wounds laid on the ground.
