Every machine on peaq takes $PEAQ out of circulation
Every robot and machine that comes to peaq bonds $PEAQ. That $PEAQ is tied to the machine and taken out of circulation:
→ It stays locked for the machine’s whole working life, and it’s never refunded
→ When a machine exits, half is burned forever and half goes to the peaq Treasury
How much a machine bonds depends on its tier
Tiers are priced in dollars per year and bonded in $PEAQ at the daily oracle rate:
→ Entry, $0.02: sensors, trackers, meters
→ Basic, $0.20: drones, chargers, vending
→ Pro, $40: robots, vehicles, energy systems
At today’s rate, one Pro machine bonds ~1,000 $PEAQ.

99.9% of 2.54M+ machines are on Basic. 81 are on Pro, including every OpenRoboto data collector.

Korea runs 1,220 robots per 10,000 employees, more than anywhere on earth. And the Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI) built Mobius, an open platform for a building’s sensors and doors, on the global oneM2M standard.

🤖 OpenRoboto data collectors now run peaqOS
Robot training data is becoming valuable enough to fake. OpenRoboto, the largest robotics subnet on Bittensor, is making sure theirs can’t be.
Every OR-S1 data collector now runs peaqOS on the Pro tier. The first 30 are live, each with its own identity anchored on Solana, and every future one will be too.
The OR-S1 is a dual-camera wearable. Operators use it in factories, kitchens and warehouses to record first-person footage of real work, the data robots learn from. Every hour of footage now traces back to a real device that anyone can verify.
Next: OpenRoboto will work with peaq to fund OR-S1 deployments at scale through Machine Money Markets.
What it means for $PEAQ:
→ each OR-S1 bonded $PEAQ to activate with peaqOS, taking it out of circulation
→ the bond is never refunded: when a machine exits, half is burned and half goes to the peaq Treasury

Here’s how bonding works:
1. A machine picks a tier. Activation is priced in dollars, paid in $PEAQ
2. Its owner bonds that value in $PEAQ
3. The bond is locked to the Machine ID for 365 days and can’t be withdrawn
After a year, there are two outcomes:
Renew: the machine bonds again, and its bond grows
Leave: after a 14-day grace period and a 14-day runoff, 50% of the bond is burned and 50% goes to the Treasury
At today’s numbers:
→ If every machine renews: +12.5M $PEAQ bonded, 29.8M+ in total
→ If none renew: 8.6M $PEAQ burned, 8.6M to the Treasury
