Eight students of different branches of engineering are studying in different colleges i.e. IIT, NIT, DU. At most three students are studying in each college. P who doesn’t study in IIT is Civil branch student. Student of Production branch study only with the student of Metallurgy branch in same college but both doesn’t study in IIT. R who is student of Mechanical branch study with the student of Chemical branch in same college but not in NIT. U who is student of Electrical branch study with T in same college but not with P. V who is student of Computer Science study with student of Electronics branch but not in DU.S and Q study in same college but not in NIT. Neither Q nor W is student of Production branch.

इंजीनियरिंग की विभिन्न शाखाओं के आठ विद्यार्थी विभिन्न कॉलेजों अर्थात् IIT, NIT, DU में अध्ययन कर रहे हैं। प्रत्येक कॉलेज में अधिक से अधिक तीन विद्यार्थी अध्ययन करते हैं। P जो IIT में अध्ययन नहीं करता है वह सिविल शाखा का विद्यार्थी है। प्रोडक्शन शाखा का विद्यार्थी केवल उस विद्यार्थी के साथ समान कॉलेज में अध्ययन करता है जो धातुकर्म शाखा का विद्यार्थी है, लेकिन दोनों IIT में अध्ययन नहीं करते हैं।
R जो मैकेनिकल शाखा का विद्यार्थी है,वह समान कॉलेज में केमिकल शाखा के छात्र के साथ अध्ययन करता है, लेकिन एनआईटी में नहीं है।
U, जो समान कॉलेज में T के साथ इलेक्ट्रिकल शाखा का विद्यार्थी है , लेकिन P के साथ अध्ययन नहीं करता है। V जो कंप्यूटर साइंस का विद्यार्थी है, वह इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स शाखा के विद्यार्थी के साथ अध्ययन करता है, लेकिन DU में नहीं। S और Q समान कॉलेज में अध्ययन करते हैं, लेकिन NIT में नहीं। न तो Q और न ही W प्रोडक्शन शाखा का विद्यार्थी है।

Eight persons live on an eight different floor in which ground floor is numbered as 1, just above floor is numbered as 2 and so on till top floor is numbered as 8 and some of them like different fruits.
F neither like any fruit nor live above 6th floor. Number of floors between F and A is same as between the one who like cherry and the one who like Orange. H lives just above B who does not like any fruit and just below D.E lives above G. The one who like Apple lives on an odd number floor. There is one floor gap between the persons who like Dates and Plum. G does not like Plum. The one who likes cherry lives on an even number floor below 6th floor. Two persons live between the one who like cherry and C. Two persons live between C and A. A does not live on top floor. Number of floors which is above A is same as below F.C does not live on ground floor.
