👳‍♀Alibaba and 🧔🏻🧔🏻The Forty Thieves: Once there lived a woodcutter in a village in Arabia. His name was Ali Baba. He was very poor. One day he was cutting the trees beside a mountain near by. Suddenly he heard some hoofing sound. So he climbed up the tree to watch seriously and carefully. There he saw forty men riding on the horses back and went towards the mountain raising dust on their way. All of them wore masks on their faces. He thought they must be thieves. He watched carefully what they were doing. They all stopped before the mountain. One of them must be the chief, got down from the horse and walked towards a huge rock in the mountain. He stretched his hands and called ‘Open seesee…" The rock slowly moved to one side with a noise of friction. There was a narrow path in the mountain. Ali Baba found that it was a cave. All the thieves got down from the horses and carried heavy bags on then back inside the cave. After all of them went inside, the door closed Ali Baba watched it with anxiety. Some time after, they all came out of the cave and rode back as they came. The door closed again after the forty thieves came out. Ali Baba got down from the tree and walked slowly near the rock. He also stretching his hand and called loudly "Open seesee"! Suddenly the door of the rock opened, slowly. Ali Baba went inside the Cave. The door closed again. In the center of the Cave Ali Baba saw lot of precious gems and jewels on a small stage. Gold and silver coins were also found everywhere there. On the other side he saw diamonds in an open box. Ali Baba was in wonder and he didn't see such amounts of wealth at a place. He was stunned for a while, but in a very short time he filled a sack with as much as he could and returned home. Ali Baba showed his wife the sack full of precious gems and gold. His wife was shocked for a while on seeing the wealth. He said, “our worst days come to an end from today". His wife replied, “We have become very rich in a single day". He wanted to weigh the wealth he had in the sack. His wife went to borrow the weighing machine from Kasim All Baba's rich brother. As Kasim's wife was a suspicious woman, she wanted to know the reason why she got the machine. So she applied some gum at the bottom of the weighing machine. Ali Baba's wife brought the machine and weighed the coins. When she was weighing, a gold coin stuck at the base. She returned the machine to Kasim's wife without knowing that a coin was under the machine. When Kasim's wife saw the coin under the machine she and Kasim become jealous. As Kasim was a wicked and greedy man, he wanted to know the secret of Ali Baba's wealth. Kasim learnt the secret from Ali Baba. He went to the mountain. Standing in front of the cave he said loudly" Open seesee!" The door opened. After he entered in, the door closed again On seeing the wealth he shouted in joy “All are mine from now". He quickly filled his sack and came near the door and said “Open Sasee!" But the door didn't open. "Open kasee" he said again, but the door did not move. Kasim had forgotten the words OPEN SEESEE to open the rock door. So he got stranded inside the cave. He tried again and again but in vain. After some time later, the forty thieves came to the cave They entered the cave and found Kasim inside the cave with a sack full of gold. "What? A new thief inside…cut his head" the chief ordered in a high voice when they came out. They killed Kasim and threw him away outside the cave. As he did not come back to his house till the evening, his wife got worried. He went to Ali Baba's house and asked for help. He went near the cave. He saw the body of his brother near the rock door. He cried. 'Oh God, why were you so greedy? He took the body home. His wife thought that It was the punishment given by God for her greediness Ali Baba murmured some thing and wept for his dead brother.

👳🐒🧞‍♂️ And The Magic Lamp Long time ago in China, there lived a poor boy, whose name was Aladdin. Aladdin lived with his mother. One day a rich and distinguished looking man came to their house and said to Aladdin's mother, "I am a merchant from Arabia and want your son to come with me. I will reward him handsomely." Aladdin's mother instantly agreed. Little did she know that the man pretending to be a rich merchant was in reality a magician. Next day, Aladdin having packed his belongings left with the 'merchant'. After many hours of traveling the 'merchant' stopped. Aladdin too stopped, surprised that they should stop in such a desolate spot. He looked around; there was nothing in sight for miles. The 'merchant' pulled out some colored powder from his pocket and threw in the ground. The next instant the whole place was filled with smoke. As the smoke cleared, Aladdin saw a huge opening in the ground; it was a cave. The 'merchant' turned to Aladdin and said, "I want you to go inside this cave; there will be more gold than you have ever seen; take as much as you want. You will also see an old lamp; please bring that back to me. Here, take this ring; it will help you." Aladdin was very suspicious but the decided to do as was told. He lowered himself into the cave, thinking all the while that it would be difficult to climb out without help. Aladdin entered the cave and just like the 'merchant' had said saw gold, jewelry, diamonds and other valuables. He filled his pockets. When this was done, he looked for the lamp; it was lying in the corner, full of dust and dirty. He picked it up and ran to the cave's opening and shouted to the 'merchant', "I have your lamp. Can you please pull me out?" "Give me the lamp," said the 'merchant'. Aladdin was not sure that he would be pulled out if he gave back the lamp; so he said, "First, please pull me out." Aladdin and The GenieThis angered the 'merchant'. With a loud cry, he pulled out the same colorful powder and threw it on the cave opening, sealing it with a huge boulder. Aladdin was depressed. He thought, "That was no rich merchant; he was surely a magician. I wonder why this lamp was so important to him." As he was thinking he rubbed the lamp. All of sudden a strange mist filled the room and from the mist emerged a stranger looking man. He said, "My master, I am the genie of the lamp, you have rescued me; what would your wish be?" Aladdin was scared but he said in quivering voice, "Ta.. Take me back home." And the next moment Aladdin was home hugging his mother. He told her of the magician and the lamp. Aladdin again summoned the genie. This time when the genie appeared he was not scared. He said, "Genie, I want a palace, not an old hut." Again to Aladdin and his mother's amazement in front of them was a magnificent palace. Time passed. Aladdin married the Sultan's daughter and was very happy. It so happened that the evil magician got to know of Aladdin's good fortune. He came by Aladdin's palace pretending to exchange old lamps for new. The princes, Aladdin's wife, not knowing the value of the lamp to Aladdin called out to the magician to wait. As soon as the magician saw the lamp he grabbed it from the princess' hand and rubbed it. The genie appeared, "you are my master and your wish is my command," he said to the magician. "Take Aladdin's palace to the great desert faraway from here," ordered the magician. When Aladdin came home, there was no palace and no princess. He guessed it must be the evil magician who had come to take revenge on him. All was not lost, Aladdin had a ring that the magician had given to him. Aladdin pulled out that ring, rubbed it. Another genie appeared. Aladdin said, "Take me to my princess." Soon, Aladdin was in Arabia with his princess. He found his lamp lying on a table next to the magician. Before the magician could react, Aladdin jumped for the lamp and got hold of it. As soon as he had the lamp, Aladdin rubbed it.

The genie appeared again and said, "My master, Aladdin, it is indeed good to serve you again. What is it that you wish?" "I want you to send this magician to another world so that he never harms anybody," said Aladdin. Aladdin's wish was carried out; the evil magician disappeared forever. The genie carried Aladdin, the princes and the palace back to China. He stayed with Aladdin for the rest of his life. @Story_oftheday @kahaniya_channel 🏰  🏡  🏜  🏕  ⛪️

🏎 THE LEGEND OF BURT MUNRO The late Burt Munro, is one of Southland’s most celebrated legends, and tributes to him have become popular attractions. The New Zealander, immortalised in The World’s Fastest Indian movie, was a speedbike racer that set land speed records in Utah in the late 1950s and 1960s on a highly modified Indian Scout motorcycle. He is most famous for his under-1000cc world record (an average speed of 183.586mph - 295.45km), set at the Bonneville Salt Flats in 1967. The record still stands today. Herbert James 'Burt' Munro was born in Edendale, a town near Invercargill on 25 March 1899. He spent years modifying a 1920 Indian motorcycle before setting his first New Zealand speed record (120.8mph - 194.4km) in 1940. During 10 visits to Bonneville he set three world speed records. His efforts and achievements are the basis of the 2005 movie starring Anthony Hopkins. His life is also celebrated in permanent displays around Invercargill, with E Hayes and Sons paying tribute to him as well as selling World’s Fastest Indian memorabilia. They also have two of Burt’s bikes on display; he sold them to the store after a stroke in 1977 hampered his riding ability. Burt was 68 and riding a 47-year old machine when he set his last record. He died at the age of 78, on 6 January 1978. Since 2006 the life of the legendary racer has been celebrated in Southland with the Burt Munro Challenge. The 6 day event is held in different locations around Southland which include Oreti Beach, where Burt originally trained for the Bonneville Salt Flats as well as Teretonga Park raceway, the most southern FAI approved raceway in the world. @Story_oftheday @kahaniya_channel 🏰  🏡  🏜  🏕  ⛪️

🌪⚡️The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind: Creating Currents of Electricity and Hope William Kamkwamba was born in Malawi, a country where magic ruled and modern science was mystery. It was also a land withered by drought and hunger, and a place where hope and opportunity were hard to find. But William had read about windmills in a book called Using Energy, and he dreamed of building one that would bring electricity and water to his village and change his life and the lives of those around him. His neighbors may have mocked him and called him misala—crazy—but William was determined to show them what a little grit and ingenuity could do. Enchanted by the workings of electricity as a boy, William had a goal to study science in Malawi's top boarding schools. But in 2002, his country was stricken with a famine that left his family's farm devastated and his parents destitute. Unable to pay the eighty-dollar-a-year tuition for his education, William was forced to drop out and help his family forage for food as thousands across the country starved and died. Yet William refused to let go of his dreams. With nothing more than a fistful of cornmeal in his stomach, a small pile of once-forgotten science textbooks, and an armory of curiosity and determination, he embarked on a daring plan to bring his family a set of luxuries that only two percent of Malawians could afford and what the West considers a necessity—electricity and running water. Using scrap metal, tractor parts, and bicycle halves, William forged a crude yet operable windmill, an unlikely contraption and small miracle that eventually powered four lights, complete with homemade switches and a circuit breaker made from nails and wire. A second machine turned a water pump that could battle the drought and famine that loomed with every season. Soon, news of William's magetsi a mphepo—his "electric wind"—spread beyond the borders of his home, and the boy who was once called crazy became an inspiration to those around the world. Here is the remarkable story about human inventiveness and its power to overcome crippling adversity. The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind will inspire anyone who doubts the power of one individual's ability to change his community and better the lives of those around him.‌‌ @Story_oftheday @kahaniya_channel 🏰  🏡  🏜  🏕  ⛪️

⛷Get out of the Crowd and Reach New Heights: John and his friends used to go mountain climbing once every year. This time they have decided to climb mountains in the Swiss Alps. They reached the famous mountain spot in the Swiss Alps and were surprised to see many people climbing the mountains. John and his friends started wearing all the mountain climbing gear and started climbing. In no time, they reached the top of the hill. After reaching there, friends decided to camp there. Then John saw another mountain where only a handful of people were trying to climb it. He told his friends, “Let us go and climb that mountain also. It will be fun and challenging instead of camping here.” A friend replied, “No way, I have heard people talking about that mountain. It seems the path is difficult to climb, and only a few people can able to climb.” People nearby hearing the conversation made fun of John and said, “If it was easy to climb, why we were sitting idle here.” Hearing them, John took that as a challenge and went alone towards climbing the peak. Two hours later, he reached the top of the hill. People who were already there welcomed John with a round of applause. John was happy having climbed the peak. He could see the beautiful views of nature from the top. He started a conversation with people and asked them, “While climbing this peak, I felt it was not so difficult. Then why only a handful of people here? If people could climb the below peak, they can climb here also if they put in some effort.” A veteran climber replied, “Most people in the crowd right there are happy with what they find easy. They never think that they have the potential to achieve more. Even people who are not happy there do not want to take any risk. They think if we take risks, they will lose what they already have. But to reach a new peak, we need to put in our effort. Many of them do not show any courage, and they remain part of the crowd the whole life. And keep complaining about the handful of courageous people and call them lucky.” Hearing this, John thanked the veteran for explaining the importance of courage in our life. Moral of the story: In our life, many of us stay in our comfort zone. But to achieve something big, we need effort and courage. We should never stop, have the courage to push ourselves out of the crowd. Focus on moving to the handful of people, whom the people called Courageous People.‌‌ @Story_oftheday @kahaniya_channel 🏰  🏡  🏜  🏕  ⛪️

"I want you to send this magician to another world so that he never harms anybody," said Aladdin.
