In gesprek met Shohreh Feshtali gaat Jan Storms in op de gebeurtenissen van deze tijd. Volgens hem bevindt de mensheid zich in een tijd van transformatie : "Waar we allemaal aan deelnemen, of we willen of niet, is het grote spel van ontwikkeling. Ontwikkeling wordt voortgedreven door dualiteit." In de huidige tijd van transformatie ziet hij dat "mensen die het niet zo goed met hun medemensen voorhebben - psychopaten en mensen die zich daar graag bij scharen- de uitdaging leveren aan mensen die wel medelevend zijn." De uitdaging om een grote ontwikkeling door te maken. Hij ziet dat een groep van weinig gewetensvolle mensen de vraag opwerpen waar anderen een antwoord op moeten formuleren. Dat is niet makkelijk, want de eerste groep zit volgens Storms op de grootste machtsposities, van politiek tot media. Het is aan de 'gewone' mens om zich niet te laten ontmoedigen. Die is niet machteloos, en heeft twee krachtige hulpbronnen: "Een goed hart en wijsheid." En dat is nog maar het begin van het gesprek. Over goed en kwaad, persoonlijke groei, bewustzijn, 'je hart stil houden' in tumultueuze tijden, 'je niet laten provoceren' en 'doen wat praktisch noodzakelijk is.'
