For those Edison Haribhakto that can come, please arrive at Mandir before 6PM tonight (Oct 16).  Important Details: Please drop-off ALL passengers in your vehicle at Mandir before 6PM. There will be NO parking inside Mandir at all. All parking will be at Middlesex College (MCC, Lot #2) ONLY. Shuttle services will be available. Dress Code: Traditional Indian Mahaprasad will be served after Swamishri departs.

There is a Solar Eclipse Saturday (October 14) with the Vedh starting early Saturday morning at 12:07am. Refer below for specific Edison timings and for further details. Vedh • Starting Saturday, October 14, 12:07am • Only water • Activities as normal • The elderly, disabled, and children need to only follow the no food niyam for 4 hours prior to the eclipse (Saturday, October 14th 12:07pm). • During Vedh, Thakorji can only have a plate of pure food (made with milk, curd, banana plant or coconut water). Actual Eclipse • Saturday, October 14, 12:07pm-2:36pm • No water • Sit in one spot and do bhakti, read, katha, Guruhari Darshan, Satsang Diksha etc. • Please refrain from offering anything to Thakorji in ghar mandir during the eclipse. Please offer thal after the eclipse ends. After the Eclipse • Shower with your clothes on (to ensure the clothes are soaked) and wash any cloth you touched during the eclipse • Thakorji should be offered a full thaal once the grahan has ended. Shreeji Maharaj has said: At the time of a solar or lunar eclipse, one should instantly stop all activities and chant the mantra of God in a purified state. (86). After the eclipse, devotees should bathe with the clothes one is wearing and then offer worship to God (householders should offer donations and renunciants should do puja). (87) Mahant Swami Maharaj has written in the Satsang Diksha: When the eclipse is over, all should bathe and soak the clothes they are wearing. There will be no Satsang Sabha & Activities at #BAPSEdison this weekend. However, there will be a special Viday Sabha on Sunday (October 15, 2023) for Mahant Swami Maharaj at #BAPSRobbinsville. In order to accommodate all devotees & maintain Pramukh Hall capacity - the Viday Sabha will take place over two sessions. Both sessions will have the same content. #BAPSEdison timings are below: ▪️ 5:00 pm & then dinner Assigned Mandirs: Cherry Hill, Clifton, Edison, Jersey City, Philadelphia & Robbinsville. NOTE: All of NY, CT, MA, VA Mandirs; Allentown, Atlantic City, Delaware, Downingtown, Harrisburg, Lansdale, Parsippany, Scranton, Warrington & DC ONLY will be going in the morning sabha at 10am. Important: ▪️We humbly request all Edison Mandir area devotees to only attend the Viday Sabha at 5PM based on the info above. 🙏 ▪️Additionally, we request all to carpool as parking is extremely limited. 🙏 ▪️ Mahamandir will be open from 9 am to 7 pm. Please only come for Darshan in the afternoon before Sabha time. If you cannot make it, the Viday sabha will also be broadcast live at na.baps.org for those wishing to watch from the comfort of their homes.
