A couple of days ago I was stranded out in the city, far from home and with no money in my pocket. When I realized the situation I was in, I was angry and on the verge of crying. Then this woman comes and asks me what's wrong and smiled at me. She sat me down and soothed me, and even offered me money so I could go back home. Excluding money from this picture, we undermine what words and facial expressions can do. You could be talking to someone who is at the moment thinking about how the world is full of greedy and cruel people. Wouldn't it be amazing to prove him wrong? To change his way of seeing things, and to calm him for just a second? Our emotions could make us say things we shouldn't but there's always a way to apologize and make up for things that didn't go well. Next time you talk to someone, think about what power you're giving your words- the power to build or the power to destroy. @thesunandherflowerss
