So you tag it with Outlaws & Sheriffs, Enemies to Lovers, Forced Proximity, Desert Nights, Tension You Could Cut With A Knife, “Put The Gun Down”, Wanted Posters, Moral Conflict, and Questionable Life Choices. And the reason it becomes the cowboy AU everyone talks about? The chemistry is absolutely ridiculous, the slow burn is agonizing, and the author somehow turns every dusty saloon, stolen horse, and midnight campfire into a scene people spend years quoting in the comments.
