🌕 _*The Lunar Eclipse*_ *Lunar Eclipse on 3rd March 2026* *Start time* – 03:21 pm *End Time* –06:46 pm TIME: 03:21 pm – 6:46 pm (Timings for Mumbai) Please check the exact time for your place with the local calendar. All the devotees are recommended to honor prasadam best before 12:30 pm on that day. *Instructions for Kitchen* PROTECTING FOOD ITEMS BY USING DARBA GRASS 1. Provisions like raw rice, raw dahl, wheat etc remain pure and there is no need to put darbha/kusha grass. 2. Cooked perishable items like rice, dahl, sabji become contaminated and hence should be used up before eclipse. If not used it should be discarded after eclipse since they become contaminated. They cannot be protected even by darbha. 3. Cooked nonperishable items can be preserved with darbha. Ex: all sweets & snacks items, pickles, sauces etc. 4. Milk, Curds, Water can be protected using Darbha; otherwise, they also become contaminated and will have to be discarded. *Instructions for Altar / Puja Area / Pujaris* 1.Devotees should take a bath after the eclipse is over, and wear fresh clothes. 2.Altar should be mopped or wiped with cow urine after the eclipse is over. 3.After cleaning the puja area or Altar devotees can start seva. 4. Darba Grass to be put in all the flowers & garlands to keep them in the pure state during the eclipse. 5. Darba Grass to be put in all food items as mentioned above. 6.Deities water glasses should be washed and fresh water should be filled after the eclipse. *Note:-* 1) Kusha Or Darba grass will be easily available in any puja store. 2) You can cut in small pieces (1 inch) and put in food items & others as mentioned above. 3) Devotees are recommended to not go out & see the moon.
