Database Issue – Root Cause Identified & Fix Ready Root Cause: Instrument data downloads from brokers took significantly longer than usual, leading to increased database load during trading hours. Today, a large number of symbols were updated by the exchange — including changes to lot sizes and other attributes — which caused extended data processing times across brokers. Fix: We had encountered a similar issue earlier, after which we had moved some of the slower brokers to an evening (post-market) download schedule. Going forward, we will extend this approach and shift all broker data downloads to post-market hours. This means there will be no pre-market instrument download jobs, ensuring no additional database load during trading hours.

Database issue - Update - Services are being monitored & everything seems normal now - We apologise for the inconvenience - It's kind of an embarrassment for us to have this kind of issue - A detailed investigation is underway & we will make necessary improvements to avoid recurrence of this issue

Services back to NORMAL The database load is back to normal. We are still investigating the cause.

Database issue - we are working on it We have just had to restart entire system & it is back online now. However, we are still managing the issues. Please note, it is not possible to individually respond to every customer. Our primary focus in such cases is to FIX the problem first. All updates will be sent on the alert groups.

Fyers NEW account setup errors Only happening for newly created APIs. We have discussed this with Fyers & this has happened because one of the API endpoint needed for login automation was discontinued by Fyers. We are still working on it & hoping to have a fix ready before market starts tomorrow.

Zerodha API - Using as MASTER Currently, Zerodha does not allow WebSocket connections on their free Personal API plan. Because of this, if you are using a Zerodha account as the master, you may experience a slight delay (higher latency) in master child copy. PMS copy will have no impact. We’ve already sent a request to Zerodha asking them to enable WebSocket support for order updates on the free API.

Zerodha account can be used as MASTER With the new api based integration, you can use Zerodha account as master, which was not possible earlier. You can also login to your kite website in parallel.

Broker's Server Timeout • The system will no longer hang, if any of your stock broker's server is unresponsive • It will wait for a maximum of 11 seconds • After that, you will be shown all the data that was received (ignoring timed out accounts) • For brokers whose servers are unresponsive, you will see an error notification. Can also be seen under Notifications tab • This applies currently only to UI screens that show portfolio data

🆕 Angel One - OAuth Support Two platforms are now available for Angel One: 1️⃣ SMART_API – This has been available since the beginning & it is still recommended as it supports automated login. 2️⃣ SMART_API_M – OAuth-based: no need to store credentials, but requires manual login daily.

🆕 Zerodha - API Support Update ✅ Zerodha has made their API available for FREE ✅ We've added support for this new API 🔁 Two platforms are now available: 1️⃣ ZERODHA_API – Recommended (supports automated login) 2️⃣ ZERODHA_API_M – OAuth-based (no need to store credentials, but manual login required daily) 📝 Notes: • You can now log in on the Kite website and monitor your portfolio at the same time using the API – this wasn't possible before. • The old KITE platform will be discontinued in a few days.
