I just sat down with Alan James on Circle of White Light Radio. Here are 10 things we got into: 🧠 A skeptical neurosurgeon's brain went offline for a week. He came back with one of the deepest NDEs on record. 🎵 Eben Alexander's sonic realm matches Rudolf Steiner's 1904 map. Two sources, a century apart. 📚 Over 55,000 regression sessions describe the same spirit world. Why? 🔥 Hell in an NDE is real to the one experiencing it, but they're not being punished. 🚫 Why "Don't go to the light" misreads the afterlife. 🌌 Reality works like a dream. There is nothing between you and source. 🕉 The Tibetan Book of the Dead is an afterlife entry protocol. We now have a whole zoo of aliens, archons and deities to distract us. 🎮 After death, it's like being in a holodeck. What do you want to experience? 🧘 An atheist's belief is a filter. NDEs and deep mystical states break it. ⏳ Thoughts on 5D ascension and rapture predictions. I was SO close to having the editing of my manuscript done before the school hol's arrived, but I ran out of time. A family medical emergency forced a rushed trip to Australia where we've been since the start of June. Once we're back to normal rhythm, it will have been 9 weeks out of action. 🥴 For anyone who has put in a pre-order, rest assured: I will be smashing it out as fast as humanly possible once I get back in my office. Other news: I'm scheduled as a guest on Luke Storey's 'Life Stylist' podcast in late September. 🤘 Book 2 pre-order link: https://brendandmurphy.com/pre-order/reverse-engineering-the-afterlife

The experiments that couldn't be explained away 🤔 Most people who dismiss out-of-body experiences have never seen the experimental record. Not the anecdotes—the controlled laboratory studies. Luminescent screens that lit up in the presence of a projected subtle body. Strain gauges that registered something physically detectable at a remote location. A young woman in a UC Davis sleep lab who did something with odds against chance of 100,000 to 1. This stuff exists. Most people just haven't been told about it. It's covered in my new piece here: https://brendandmurphy.substack.com/p/the-experiments-that-couldnt-be-explained

Officially, there are 5 hours left for this opportunity... My thanks to those of you who have gotten involved and secured your copies (and rewards). Make no mistake: this work is a groundbreaking contribution to post-mortem understanding and metaphysics in general. https://brendandmurphy.com/pre-order/reverse-engineering-the-afterlife

HANTA-SCAM ALERT A fun article by Sasha Latypova: 'I am enjoying the sight of a robust and funny(!) public response to the feeble attempts of the pandemic cabal to ignite yet another round of fear and bullshit with the current “hantavirus” psyop. There is no “hantavirus”. The illness exists, it is a poisoning with rat faeces, usually in extremely blighted living conditions, with extremely poor hygiene, dirt floors and massive rat infestation. So, it is impossible on the modern small cruise ship. The passenger on the ship died of natural causes. (Video of the ship captain announcing the death of the passenger as natural and not from an infectious disease in the article). Bob [Robert] Malone is having an orgasm over the possibilities of the next pandemic, because his company Inovio is a maker of the DNA electroporation device used for the DNA (plasmids!!) hantavirus vaccines made by the US military. Finally, who could have predicted this!! For a disease with global annual mortality of 6...

It's live. ‘Reverse Engineering the Afterlife’ is now open for pre-order. 200,000+ words. 14 years of research since Book 1. Cross-tradition, cross-discipline, and uncompromising. This book doesn't ask what various traditions believe about death—it asks what underlying structure explains why those beliefs exist at all. Near-death research. Reincarnation studies. Vedanta, Gnosticism, Neoplatonism. Consciousness science. Systems thinking. All of it cross-examined and integrated to reveal patterns that aren't visible when these domains are studied in isolation. The result isn't a survey of opinions. It's a map. Pre-order closes in 21 days. Limited spots at several tiers. 👉 brendandmurphy.com/pre-order/reverse-engineering-the-afterlife If you can't pre-order right now—share this with one person who would care. That matters more than you know. -B

This isn’t a promotion. It’s a threshold. 2026 is a ONE year — a year of initiation, not effort. I’m hosting a live Evolve Yourself initiation ceremony this Friday. Simple. Guided. Deeply integrative. No hype. No homework. No personality replacement. You relax. I facilitate. The work integrates organically over time. Before joining, you’ll watch a short explainer webinar and choose how deeply you want to engage — from Level One through the full initiation arc. If you feel the nudge, that’s enough. If you don’t, trust that too. Watch the masterclass + details here: www.evolveyourself.live

If you’ve ever wondered why the current neo-Gnostic trend feels off, I lay out exactly where it derailed — and what the original mystics actually knew through direct experience. This is the antidote to the black-pill. Read more 👇 https://officialbrendanmurphy.substack.com/p/gnostic-but-without-the-gnosis

“William James, the great American philosopher-psychologist, remarked that to most people faith means having faith in someone else’s faith. In the minds of many religious folk, faith has thus devolved into a belief received secondhand from other believers, none of whom are likely to have had any experience of the object of their faith.” -Stephan Hoeller, GNOSTICISM — For a tour de force of what it looks like when someone builds a model of non-physical existence based on firsthand experience (instead of blind faith), you’ll want to check out my second book—leave a 📕 below if you want the link to be notified when it’s available

Most people only hear about the “white light” NDEs. Almost no one talks about the ones that feel like hell. Not punishment—just raw, unfiltered consciousness meeting its own unfinished business. These accounts are uncommon, but when they show up… they change everything we think we know about death, morality, and the mechanics of the afterlife. I’m breaking down what the hellish NDEs actually point to—based on research, cross-cultural data, and the patterns people miss. If you’ve ever wondered why some people end up in darkness, chaos, or torment during an NDE… this is where the real conversation begins. 👇 What’s your take on the “negative” NDE phenomenon? Many people wonder if the dead can feel cremation**—if the **soul somehow senses the body burning after their consciousness detaches. What lingers isn’t physical sensation—it’s energy, emotion, or attachment. Afterlife awareness isn’t about flesh—it’s about how awake the spirit is when leaving it behind. The fire doesn’t hurt the **soul**—it only burns away what’s no longer needed, and cremation is considered a hygienic procedure which assists in breaking down the etheric body more rapidly. No clairvoyant wants to see the grisly sight of a decaying etheric double. 🧟‍♂️

I prefer an approach to spirituality that is based in both gnosis and high-level critical thinking and analogue insight—not fear-based superstition. You’ll find all that in Book 2 of THE GRAND ILLUSION (and some snippets on my Subst@ck). I’ll save you LOADS of time and hassle. Leave a 📕 if you'd like to be first to know when Book 2 is available.

I had so many thought bubbles sprouting as I filmed this. 😆 Honestly, there is NO WAY to do this topic justice in a 3 minute video, so forgive me. Leave a 📕 if you'd like to be first to know when Book 2 is available.
