📌 When will the next crypto bull run happen?
📊 Bitcoin has recovered into the mid $80,000s and the global crypto market is close to $3 trillion, yet a higher bitcoin price does not establish a market wide bull run. ETF inflows, spot demand and gains beyond a few large tokens have to persist together. October’s inflation and Fed dates offer tests, not a predetermined start date. A rally describes a price move over a chosen period. A bull run implies persistence and breadth. Bitcoin climbing 2% after a jobs report is a rally even if it reverses the next day. A market wide run requires a series of higher prices supported by buyers who keep exposure, with other parts of the asset class participating for more than a few sessions. There is no regulator or exchange that declares an official starting bell.
🌐 For this feature, a testable working definition is four consecutive weekly closes with rising combined nonstablecoin market value, bitcoin holding its advance, and corroboration from fund flows or estimated spot demand. The four week period is an editorial measurement window, not a law of markets. It filters a short squeeze and one day of speculative turnover, while still permitting a timely assessment. A different definition could date the same cycle differently and should be stated when comparing forecasts.
⚠️ Bitcoin can lead without a simultaneous altcoin surge. In many recoveries, investors first buy the largest and most liquid asset. The word crypto in the headline, however, asks more than whether BTC alone rallies. If bitcoin grows while the rest of the market remains flat or declines, the narrower claim is a bitcoin bull phase. It may precede a wider advance, but the latter has not yet happened.

⚠️ VRA faces scrutiny in French crypto fraud investigation
➡️ French authorities have placed a woman under formal investigation as they examine whether alleged manipulation of Verasity’s VRA cryptocurrency helped finance tens of millions of euros in Dubai property purchases. A judicial source told the newspaper that investigators suspect Svetlana A. and her British partner, identified as Robert H., were involved in alleged organized fraud through manipulation of a cryptocurrency’s exchange rate. Authorities are examining whether proceeds from that activity helped finance her Dubai real estate holdings.
⭐️ Le Monde identified the cryptocurrency under examination as Verasity’s VRA token, which launched in 2018. During spring 2021, VRA’s price increased roughly 65-fold over approximately two and a half months before reversing sharply, according to the newspaper’s investigation. French investigators have not publicly released transaction-level evidence showing how any alleged price manipulation was conducted. Available judicial reporting does not identify specific trades, wallets, exchanges or counterparties allegedly used in the suspected scheme.
🌐 The French case concerns suspected conduct tied to earlier VRA activity. Investigators have not connected the later market movements to the alleged scheme described by Le Monde. Investigators are examining the source of funds behind a large Dubai property portfolio linked to Svetlana A. Le Monde reported that she spent more than €50 million during 2022 alone. The purchases covered around 100 apartments and three luxury villas throughout Dubai.

➡️ Binance takes $100 million stake in Circle with five year USDC agreement
🔖 Binance has invested $100 million in Circle Internet Group while entering a new five year commercial agreement that will pay the crypto exchange to promote USDC across its platform. The purchase was completed alongside new commercial terms between the companies covering the distribution and promotion of USDC. Circle agreed to pay Binance monthly incentive fees based on the amount of USDC held through its Modular Smart Contract Wallet infrastructure, while Binance agreed to carry out promotional activities tied to the stablecoin.
📊 Circle said the $80.84 share price represented a discount to the company’s market value before the transaction. Binance faces restrictions on disposing of the shares under the agreement, limiting its ability to sell, transfer or hedge the position until the earlier of two years or certain circumstances in which Binance terminates the related commercial arrangements. The latest agreement replaces earlier commercial arrangements between Circle and Binance dating to November 2024 and August 2025.
📣 Circle disclosed in its annual filing that the November 2024 agreement included a $60.3 million one time upfront payment to Binance and monthly incentive fees calculated using USDC balances held on the exchange and in its treasury, subject to minimum balance requirements. The treasury portion of that arrangement carried a two year term. An expanded agreement signed in August 2025 covered USDC held through Circle’s Modular Smart Contract Wallet infrastructure. Circle agreed under those terms to make monthly incentive payments based on qualifying balances, while the arrangement carried a four year term with specified early termination provisions.

⚠️ H100 CEO adds shares as Bitcoin treasury holds 3,506 BTC
➡️ H100 CEO Eirik Grøttum has increased his exposure to the Swedish Bitcoin treasury company through purchases totaling 407,163 shares for SEK 621,887, while H100 continues to report 3,506.4 BTC on its balance sheet. H100 Group said in its Sept. 17 primary-insider disclosure that Kode Oslo AS carried out the purchases, with 405,663 shares acquired on Sept. 15 at an average SEK 1.53 and another 1,500 shares acquired on Aug. 19 at SEK 1.40. The combined average price was SEK 1.53 per share.
🔔 Kode Oslo now owns 2,771,787 H100 shares following the disclosed transactions. Grøttum serves on Kode Oslo’s board, owns 20% of the company and participates in its investment decisions, according to H100’s regulated notice. A second associated entity, Olav Grøttum Holding AS, owns another 2,627,677 H100 shares. Grøttum owns that company entirely. Combined, the two businesses hold 5,399,464 H100 shares after the latest purchases.
🔖 The transaction concerns shares in H100 Group, not a new Bitcoin purchase by the company. H100’s disclosed Bitcoin position therefore remains separate from the CEO-related equity purchase. Grøttum became H100’s chief executive on Aug. 11, one day after the company completed its large Norwegian Bitcoin-related acquisition. He previously served as CEO of Moonshot AS and had worked with H100 Chief Investment Officer Peter C. Warren managing Bitcoin holdings belonging to Geir Harald Hansen through Moonshot.

⭐️ The Treasury Secretary is whipping votes for a bill priced at 10%
🔖 Look at who wants it. The Treasury Secretary has publicly told the Senate to pass it. The President worked senators directly at a White House meeting with Ripple’s CEO, Coinbase’s CEO and the SEC chairman in the room. The Majority Leader filed cloture before the August recess instead of quietly letting the bill rot on the calendar. Brian Armstrong says flatly that it passes. Now look at the count. Sixty votes. Republicans have fifty-three. At least two of those are expected to vote no anyway.
🔗 Galaxy Digital has tracked this bill all year and just cut its odds of 2026 passage to around 10%. In May they had it at 75%. Prediction markets put enactment in the low teens. So the most senior economic officials in the country are whipping votes for something the people pricing it give roughly a one-in-ten shot. That gap is the story, and it is worth understanding before Tuesday instead of reading about it afterwards.
📊 A sitting Treasury Secretary publicly whipping votes for a specific bill is not routine. Treasury Secretaries comment on fiscal policy, on debt management, on international financial conditions. Advocating for the passage of a particular piece of market structure legislation, by name, days before a procedural vote, places the department’s institutional weight behind an outcome in a way that is closer to legislative affairs than to economic stewardship.

🌐 Bitwise HYPE ETF adds $10.5m after four-day pause
📊 Bitwise’s Hyperliquid exchange-traded fund resumed accumulating HYPE on Sept. 4 after four days without a tracked purchase. Wallets linked to the fund acquired approximately $10.5 million of the token, according to blockchain intelligence platform Arkham.
🔗 Arkham described BHYP as the “largest HYPE ETF.” That ranking relies on addresses identified by its analysts and the market value of tokens attributed to each product. Bitwise has not issued a matching announcement confirming the $166.3 million figure. The $10.5 million transaction ended the longest recent gap in BHYP-linked accumulation reported by Arkham. However, the movement should not automatically be interpreted as one investor purchasing $10.5 million of fund shares.
📣 Exchange-traded crypto products create and redeem shares through authorized participants. The trust may receive cash or tokens as part of that process, depending on its operating structure. Its HYPE acquisitions can therefore reflect net share creations, liquidity management or settlement activity involving several investors. Blockchain data can identify transfers between labeled addresses. It cannot always reveal the commercial purpose of every transfer. Address ownership may also change, while internal custody movements can resemble purchases unless analysts identify the sending address and transaction route.

⭐️ Bitcoin price stalls below $78K as ADX falls to 12
⚠️ Bitcoin price traded just below $78,000 on Sept. 1 after retreating from the $81,000 area, as fading trend strength, Federal Reserve rate concerns and nearby liquidation clusters kept the cryptocurrency inside a narrow range. According to data from cryptonews, Bitcoin price was trading near $77,978 at press time, down about 0.8% on the day and roughly 1.9% over the past week. The asset has pulled back from a local high near $81,300 while holding above the $77,700–$77,800 area.
📣 The decline followed a nearly 25% advance in August, Bitcoin’s strongest monthly performance since November 2024. Profit-taking increased as buyers struggled to push the price through the $81,000–$82,000 resistance zone. The daily chart shows Bitcoin holding most of its August breakout despite the recent pullback. Price remains well above the Supertrend support at $72,310, while the indicator continues to show a bullish trend on the daily timeframe.
🌐 However, Bitcoin has repeatedly failed to sustain moves above $80,000. The rejection has left the price inside a short-term range, with neither buyers nor sellers showing enough strength to establish control. The daily relative strength index stands at 68.02. Although the reading remains above the neutral 50 level, it has fallen below its moving average at 76.83, showing that bullish momentum has cooled since the August surge.

⚠️ Bitfinex Securities raises record $50M for Alkemya nickel token
➡️ Bitfinex Securities has completed a record $50 million tokenized capital raise for metals company Alkemya through a security backed by partnership interests tied to an independently valued $1.64 billion nickel asset base. The partnership owns about 7 million meters of 99.99% pure nickel wire, according to the companies. Its nickel holdings have been independently valued at about $1.64 billion, giving Alkemya an asset base against which it can raise capital through the tokenized structure.
🔔 For Bitfinex Securities, the $50 million total is the largest capital raise completed on its platform. The company said in the announcement that its previous record stood at $30 million and involved USTBL, a tokenized product linked to short-term U.S. Treasuries. Following the Alkemya transaction, Bitfinex Securities has now completed seven capital raises and listed 16 assets, according to figures provided by the platform.
🔖 ALKN is also Alkemya’s first tokenization project, an Alkemya spokesperson said in the announcement. Under the structure, eligible investors receive fractional interests in Alkemya Metacore SCSp in digital form, with the tokens designed to be transferable between eligible holders. The fundraising gives Alkemya capital against its existing nickel holdings without requiring the company to sell the full underlying asset position. Proceeds from the offering are expected to fund the commercialization of engineered nickel products for industrial uses, including semiconductor applications.

🔔 Wyckoff distribution: the century-old method traders still use on Bitcoin
⭐️ Richard Wyckoff published his market framework before the Great Depression, yet his distribution schematic remains one of the most referenced tools in crypto trading circles. This article breaks down how the method works, where it has appeared in Bitcoin price history, and what it actually tells traders about supply and demand.
📣 The first thing most people get wrong about Wyckoff analysis is the assumption that it predicts where price will go. It does not. The method was never designed as a forecasting system. It was designed as a reading system, a way to interpret what large, informed participants are doing with their capital based on the relationship between price and volume.
📌 That distinction matters because it changes how a trader uses the framework. Instead of drawing lines and waiting for a target, a Wyckoff practitioner watches for behavioral evidence that supply is overwhelming demand, or the reverse.
🔗 Wyckoff believed that markets were driven by the activity of what he called the “Composite Man,” a conceptual figure representing the collective behavior of large institutional operators. His core argument was simple: if retail traders could learn to read the footprints left by these operators through price and volume, they could align their trades with the dominant force in the market rather than fighting it.

⚠️ Ethereum price rebounds as bulls target $1,960 breakout
🔖 Ethereum price climbed nearly 2% on Aug. 17, rebounding from the $1,872 area as buyers defended short-term support and pushed ETH above $1,900. According to data from cryptonews, Ethereum price traded at approximately $1,908 at the time of writing, up 1.7% on the day. The token had moved between an intraday low of $1,872 and a high of $1,912, according to the Binance daily chart.
📣 The recovery accelerated after ETH reclaimed the $1,890 area, which had limited price advances during the previous three sessions. Buyers then pushed the token through $1,900, although the move had not produced a confirmed break from its wider August range. Ethereum has traded mostly between $1,850 and $1,960 since late July. Several attempts to clear the upper end of that range have failed, while pullbacks toward $1,850–$1,870 have continued to attract buyers.
⭐️ The Aug. 17 bounce therefore represents another test of the range ceiling rather than a confirmed return to a broader uptrend. ETH remains roughly 47% below its price one year ago despite recovering from its June low near $1,530. Depositing ETH into the staking contract reduces the amount immediately available for spot trading, but one transaction alone does not prove that the owner bought the tokens during Monday’s rebound. Staked ETH can also return to circulation after passing through Ethereum’s withdrawal process.

📣 Bank of England taps Polygon consortium for digital pound trade finance tests
➡️ NOBO Finance, Dun & Bradstreet and Polygon Labs have joined Phase 2 of the Bank of England’s Digital Pound Lab to test SME trade finance flows that combine stablecoin payments, digital pound settlement and reusable business identity. According to a press release shared with cryptonews, the consortium will test two connected workstreams inside the central bank’s experimental programme, with Polygon Labs providing stablecoin settlement, wallet and smart contract infrastructure through its Open Money Stack.
⭐️ The programme does not involve real customers or money, allowing the participants to examine how different forms of digital money and financial data could work together without operating in a live financial environment. NOBO, a UK fintech focused on digital trade finance infrastructure for small and medium-sized businesses, completed Phase 1 after demonstrating conditional business-to-business escrow payments for trade finance.
🌐 Phase 2 adds Dun & Bradstreet’s commercial data and Polygon’s blockchain infrastructure to build out the identity and settlement components around that earlier work. The tests focus on cross-border SME trade, where verification can involve several parties and payments can take days to settle.

📊 Ethereum price clears key averages in push toward $2,000
⚠️ Ethereum price traded near $1,918 on Friday after reclaiming $1,900, as spot ETF inflows and improving short-term momentum supported another test of overhead resistance. According to data from cryptonews, Ethereum price traded at $1,918.26 at the time of writing, up 0.74% during the daily session. The token reached an intraday high of $1,918.88 after opening near $1,904.
🔖 The move extended ETH’s recovery from the $1,850 area and kept its weekly gain above 4%. Buyers have repeatedly defended the $1,840–$1,850 region since the start of August, preventing a deeper correction toward the July lows. Price has now moved above three closely watched daily averages. ETH is trading over its 20-day moving average at $1,895.45, its 100-day average at $1,911.42, and its 50-day average at $1,796.09.
➡️ That alignment improves the short-term outlook, but Ethereum remains below its 200-day moving average at $2,061.80. The gap shows that the latest recovery has not yet reversed the broader downtrend that began after ETH traded above $2,400 in April. The daily Bull Bear Power reading has returned to positive territory at 32.07. The indicator suggests buyers have regained a modest advantage after bearish pressure briefly returned at the beginning of August.

📌 Tom Lee’s BitMine buys more ETH and repurchases 6.1M shares
🔖 BitMine Immersion Technologies said its Ethereum holdings reached 5,787,414 ETH as of July 26 after the company bought another 9,946 tokens during the week. The position equals about 4.8% of Ethereum’s stated 120.7 million supply and leaves BitMine close to its target of owning 5% of all ETH. The company valued its broader portfolio at $11.8 billion using an ETH reference price of $1,948. The total includes 208 BTC, $268 million in cash and marketable securities, a $180 million stake in Beast Industries and a $61 million position in Eightco Holdings. The figures reflect BitMine’s own valuation method.
📣 BitMine calls its plan to acquire 5% of Ethereum’s supply the “Alchemy of 5%.” At the current reported supply, that target equals about 6.04 million ETH. The latest total places the company about 96% of the way there, leaving roughly 247,586 ETH to reach the goal if supply remains unchanged. Chairman Tom Lee said BitMine has bought ETH every week since it started the treasury strategy on June 30, 2025. As cryptonews previously reported, the company held nearly 5.78 million ETH in its prior weekly disclosure. The latest purchase raised that balance by another 9,946 ETH.
🔗 BitMine said it has staked 4,917,189 ETH through its Made in America Validator Network, known as MAVAN, and other partners. That amount represents about 85% of its total ETH holdings. The company valued the staked position at $9.6 billion using the same $1,948 reference price. Lee said current staking operations could generate $254 million in annualised revenue based on a seven-day yield of 2.65%. He also projected annual rewards of $299 million if BitMine stakes its full ETH balance. These are management estimates rather than fixed returns. Ethereum rewards can change with network participation, validator performance and protocol conditions.

🔔 Cardano price prediction: Can ADA break $0.19 after hard fork?
⚠️ Cardano price remained under pressure on Monday despite the activation of the network’s van Rossem hard fork, leaving ADA traders focused on whether the token can break through its next major resistance zone. ADA was trading near $0.162 at the time of writing, down around 2% over 24 hours. The token has remained broadly flat over the past month after a long decline from levels near $0.90 to $1.00. Its market capitalization stands near $6.06 billion, while daily trading volume is around $240 million.
📊 The latest price action comes just after Cardano moved to Protocol Version 11 through the van Rossem hard fork. The network upgrade improved parts of the Plutus smart contract framework and prepared Cardano for future scaling work, but it has not yet produced a sustained ADA price rally. The ADA/USDT daily chart remains in a broader bearish structure. Cardano has fallen sharply from its 2025 highs and recently settled into a narrow range around $0.16. The latest consolidation has slowed the decline, but buyers have yet to establish a clear sequence of higher highs and higher lows.
⭐️ ADA is also trading below the middle Bollinger Band near $0.1688. The upper band sits around $0.1887, while the lower band is close to $0.1489. This places the price in the lower half of its current volatility range. A sustained move above $0.17 would improve the short-term setup, while a renewed decline could put the $0.15 area back in focus.
