Morning Update : NIFTY: Nifty came under pressure and slipped below 23,850 intraday amid broad-based selling, ending near the day’s low. Weak global cues and surging oil prices due to tensions near the Strait of Hormuz weighed on sentiment. Immediate support is placed at 23,700, below which further selling pressure may emerge. BANK NIFTY: Nifty Bank witnessed a sharp downtrend during the session and ended near the day’s low, dragged by heavy selling in private banking stocks. The near-term outlook remains weak with further downside likely from PSU banks, while the next key support is placed around the 55,000 level.
