A Letter to My Our Future Self Are you reading this after you’ve finally “made it”? After the result, the rank, the claps, the calls, the sudden respect from relatives who always doubted you? Or are you reading this on a night when you still feel stuck like you’re running on a treadmill that keeps increasing speed as soon as you adapt? Dear Future Me, I hope you’ve stopped treating life like a court trial where you need a verdict to be declared “worthy.” Because that was your oldest addiction: the belief that you’ll finally be peaceful once someone else approves your existence: an examiner, a partner, a family WhatsApp group. You used to live as if your soul was a product and validation was the customer review And if love is in your life - romantic love, friendships, family love etc, I hope you no more love like an audition. I hope you don’t love like “please don’t leave.” I hope you Love like: “I want you, but I won’t lose myself to keep you.” Because your past self sufferred this! Dear Future me, If you’ve won, please don’t become that UPSC guy who starts narrating preparation like it was a war fought with bare hands… while sitting in an air-conditioned room with three meals and Wi-Fi. Yes, you suffered, emotionally, personally, mentally. The anxiety was real. The loneliness was real. But remember this too: for many people, even the option to “prepare” is a luxury. Some didn’t quit because they lacked discipline, they quit because rent doesn’t accept “one more attempt,” and hunger doesn’t wait for prelims. So don’t turn your struggle into a poster that looks down on others. Stay grateful, stay grounded and when you speak, speak with humility: your hardship was real, but your opportunity was also a privilege And if you haven’t won yet, don’t become the guy who thinks the universe wakes up daily like, “Aaj Tera hi kaatna hai.” It’s not personal. It’s just life doing life. But here’s the raw truth you need to hear: not every delay is destiny polishing you. Sometimes it’s just a dead-end. Sometimes you’re not being “built”… you’re being stuck. Sometimes you’re trying to become a wall in the wrong house. And yes, this hurts, but some walls never get built. They crumble. They get abandoned halfway. Not because you’re worthless, but because the plan was flawed, or the cost was too high. If this path keeps breaking you, learn the lesson and build elsewhere a new wall, a new home. Pivot with spine, not with shame. Because losing one battle doesn’t make you a loser. It just means you stop begging the same locked door. Future Me, I hope you’ve learned your “wiring” in a deeper way than you used to. Because you didn’t just attach to people back then, you attached to ideas, expectations, imagined versions of life. You attached to “what if I fail.” You have to stop doing that. Feelings are like weather and they change, it should not run your inner government. Also, I hope you have learned you don’t have an unlimited emotional budget. You have Stopped spending it on people who drain you, on situations you can’t control, on imaginary conversations in your head. You’re not a charity for emotional support. Be kind, yes. But don’t become a dumping ground. The current me learned it the hard way And i have maxed out all emotional credit cards, so you have to repay it. I hope by now you’ve learned to celebrate the boring things: Waking up on time, Apologizing without defending yourself, Saying “no” without guilt and so on ( the mini list i had made for you, if you have done that, It will make me happy!) If you’re reading this from a good place, stay grateful and grounded. If you’re reading this from a hard place, stay patient and in motion. Either way, don’t quit on the boring work. That’s how people quietly become unstoppable (or so they say me now). I’ll keep doing the hard part from here. You don’t betray this effort when life starts smiling. “Happy Republic Day, future policy-makers 🇮🇳 Today, we celebrate the day our Constitution came to life, giving us the right to freedom, equality, and, most importantly, a public holiday to revise Lakshmikant. While the country reflects on its progress, I hope you reflect on your reasons to start UPSC prep! Remember, the framers of our Constitution spent 2 years, 11 months, and 18 days debating every clause—so if you’re struggling with prelims answers, you’re in good company, it takes time, breath! As you study today, think about this: Republics aren’t built in a day, nor are rank lists. Like the Preamble, make your vision clear, your mission focused! So, dream of a day when your name isn’t just written and saved in mobiles of coaching class friends you hand out numbers to but also registered in the annals of Indian governance. Until then, stay motivated, stay disciplined, and let the spirit of the Republic inspire your journey. Jai Hind, Jai Notes, and may Article 21 protect you from toxic prelims anxiety today!” 🎉 Yours sincerely! Shubham

Day 31: Diagramification of your Mains Answer ✅Theme: Attitude begins - with the ABC that takes 10 seconds to draw and that 70% of answers still write as a paragraph. Attitude → Affective (feeling), Behavioural (action), Cognitive (belief). That is the entire structure question. But the tree earns more than structure marks: it is also your attitude-CHANGE framework. Want to change behaviour? Change the belief, the feeling follows, the action follows. Every "how can attitude be changed" answer can hang on these three branches. Ten seconds. Three boxes. Framework for half the Attitude syllabus. 💡Functions of attitude, attitude-behaviour gap, persuasion models - all drawn in the GS4 Diagram Booklet, ₹399, Civil Services Compass app ✉️Follow us for more such content

Questions which came from last year IYB summary (i had not idea they came from my doc, a student sent)

Are you really studying, or just preparing to study? Yes, this is now a proven fallacy of mind, we often escape studying by trying to continously find best way to study! How many times have you told yourself, “I need to find the perfect book, the perfect strategy, the perfect timetable”—only to end up with nothing concrete done? How many days did you spend hunting for the “best” resources, or trying to choose between one optional book over another, or one schedule over other? Let’s face it—this search for “the best” is a trap, a clever excuse our minds use to avoid the hard work. but trying to build the best source only to be continuously being confused is like few drops of rain uncalled rain flooding delhi (sorry delhi, now you are an ex to me)! And you keep floating around in your confusion. Even with the second-best or third best resources, you can succeed. The world’s most competitive exams are cleared by doing something well 3-5 times, not by endlessly searching for the best way to do it. Pick up, think for a while, then commit and stop getting confused! Ask yourself: If you could simply trust a resource today and put in the hard work, would that not be enough? The UPSC journey isn’t about perfection, but consistency. Stop searching. Start doing. Build a foundation with whatever you have—because once you get going, even flawed efforts gain value. You can keep adding value with more pace once your base is strong. Friends, The only failure is not starting. Start. Yours with love, Shubham Ajmera

Just wanted to show heartfelt gratitude to everyone. This is the first time in really long i could feel so much social support. I never knew what I did to deserve this but It did cheer me up. So many lovely, sweet msgs, calls etc. it really helped me a lot, especially as the result was sinking in, i felt like i am not alone. 😇😇

🔖An Honest confession About UPSC Industry! Let me say something that will probably not make me popular in this industry. Most "newspaper-based current affairs" courses in UPSC are NOT built from newspapers. ( i will be targetted after this but who gives a damn) 🤌 That is the plain truth. The label sells, so everyone prints it. Behind it is usually content lifted from random websites, rewritten overnight, by people who did not open The Hindu that morning. No archive. No highlighting. No one actually sitting with the paper for two hours a day, year after year.
⚠️ And the aspirant has no way to check, because nobody is asked to show their work. So here is the one question that settles it - show me your archive.
Dated newspapers. Topic-wise. Highlighted. Analysed. If a person has genuinely been reading daily for years, that archive exists on its own. It cannot be manufactured later. That is exactly why almost nobody can show it. I CAN. 2.5 years of it. I run paid courses and I am not going to pretend otherwise. But do not take my word or anyone else's. Ask for the content history before you pay. 😀 My Sample file above Sharing this so that you know everything we make, every course, this is the effort which goes in it! The problem is not that these courses are expensive. It is that nobody is ever asked to prove what they were built from. ✉️ Click here to follow our telegram channel

Theme: Women (Data to diagrams series) A question on this theme can come anywhere in GS1,GS2, GS3 or GS4. While most data here is common, but creatively using them can fetch you extra marks. Example: instead of writing rank of Global gender gap report, you can draw it showing improvement in year on year basis (showing better status of women in India) Or to show downsides can draw the diagram of rape conviction rate of India to that of compared to world. Please check pinned message where I have arranged all the value added content for you in segregated manner. Please do like and share, hopefully it helps: https://t.me/upscandbeyondd

🔥🔥Decoding India’s Medical Heritage ✅The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, in collaboration with the Central Sanskrit University (CSU), New Delhi, successfully conducted a 15-day Transliteration Capacity Building Workshop on Ayurvedic Manuscripts at the CSU Puranattukara (Guruvayoor) Campus in Thrissur, Kerala . ✅The two-week residential programme brought together 33 scholars, including 18 from Ayurveda and 15 from Sanskrit, fostering an interdisciplinary approach to manuscript studies. ✅The training programme covered key areas such as manuscriptology, palaeography, technical Ayurvedic terminology and script orientation, with specialised Lipi Parichaya sessions on Grantha and Vattezhuthu scripts. ✅A strong emphasis was placed on hands-on transliteration training in Grantha, Medieval Malayalam, and Vattezhuthu, enabling participants to work directly on original palm-leaf manuscripts and to generate verifiable scholarly outputs within a short time. ✅As a major scholarly outcome of the workshop, five rare and previously unpublished Ayurvedic manuscripts were successfully transliterated and are now available for advanced research. ✅These include: ✅ Dhanwanthari (Vaidya) Chinthamani, comprising 146 palm-leaf pages and transliterated from Grantha into Sanskrit ✅ Dravyashuddhi, a 110-page Grantha manuscript transliterated into Sanskrit ✅ Vaidyam, a 59-page Medieval Malayalam manuscript transliterated into Malayalam; Roga Nirnaya, Part I, consisting of 75 pages transliterated from Medieval Malayalam into Malayalam ✅  Vividharogangal, a 78 palm-leaf manuscript in Vattezhuthu transliterated into both Malayalam and Sanskrit. 🚨 DAY 22: 30 DAYS ETHICS ENRICHMENT SERIES 📚 Topic: Kohlberg's Stages of Moral Development 📖 Meaning: It describe how individuals progress through different levels of moral reasoning, influencing their ethical decisions. The theory is divided into three levels with six stages: 1. Pre-conventional Level (Ages 4-10) Stage 1: Obedience and Punishment Moral decisions are based on avoiding punishment. Stage 2: Individualism and Exchange Actions are guided by self-interest and the idea of reciprocal exchange. 2. Conventional Level (Ages 10-16) Stage 3: Interpersonal Relationships Moral choices are made to gain social approval and maintain relationships. Stage 4: Maintaining Social Order Decisions are based on following laws and rules to maintain social order. 3. Post-conventional Level (Adulthood, but not everyone reaches it) Stage 5: Social Contract and Individual Rights Moral decisions are based on the social contract and individual rights, aiming for the greater good. Stage 6: Universal Principles Decisions are guided by abstract principles like justice, equality, and human dignity, even if it goes against laws. 💬 Key Quote: "The development of moral reasoning is a continuous process of change that extends throughout the lifespan." - Kohlberg 👉 Application: 1️⃣ Use this in questions related to Ethics, Morals, Values, etc. 2️⃣ In Case Studies, justify your action by saying that "My decision is based on Post-conventional Stage of Moral Development as explained by Kohlberg."
