Hello everyone, To talk about Quality of our practice MCQs, Above was a practice MCQs of November month, Question on Lake Turkana, and the entire question of UPSC Prelims on Lake Turkana can be solved from MCQ only there are almost 15 such questions from practice MCQs directly in Prelims 2026. But you have to take each and every deliverables of this course very seriously, last year many time I had asked to be thorough with each line and every Maps and photos used in the PDF and you will find that many questions were solved from those Only. Day 36: Diagramification of your Mains Answer ✅Theme: Emotional Intelligence Every EI answer quotes Daniel Goleman. Very few show what Goleman actually said. His model fits in a 2x2: Self + Recognition = Self-awareness Social + Recognition = Social awareness Self + Regulation = Self-management Social + Regulation = Relationship management The arrows matter. You can't manage an emotion you haven't recognised, and you can't handle others before you handle yourself. Put one administrative example against each box (a DM during a riot, a doctor facing an angry family) and the body of your answer is done. EI keeps coming back, sometimes as theory and sometimes hidden inside a case study. Keep this one ready. 💡The EQ-IQ balance and the Values for EI wheel are in the GS4 Diagram Booklet, ₹399, Civil Services Compass app ✉️Follow us for more such updates

This is for those with Anthropology Optional as many people have DMed me how to approach it. I scored ~260 this year which is a fairly decent score considering the performance of the subject as well as other optionals this year. What worked for me: 1. Multiple Revisions of the subject (at least 5-6 times between Prelims and Mains) 2. 5-6 times sounds too much. Am i exaggerating? No. Here is the second suggestion. I made short notes of almost both papers by the end of July itself. Then I used those to revise my entire optional. 3. 'Not all heroes wear capes' - this can be said for Optional Short notes. I had almost over 1000 pages of notes for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. This included both foundation notes as well as value additions in the same notebook. But my short notes made it much easier for me to revise. 4. A very important part of my notes were Value-additions. For that, I relied on Shiva Teja Sir's content(he's been my friend and mentor much before he became a full-time professional teacher). 5. I can recall a few of the questions in 2024 like Research Methods and the questions related to Tribals, I wrote his case studies and researches verbatim which certainly gave me an edge. 6. I did not copy any toppers notes or completely relied on their material. Many students still follow Mandar Patki Sir notes. The times are gone when you could do that. If you are giving Mains this year, no need to panic if you have done this. Simply, do some value additions and try to make your content unique and gain conceptual clarity rather than rote learning. 7. I only wrote PYQs but did them daily. There are even questions I have written 5-6 times all over again. For feedback, I relied on Shiva Sir. 8. For the optional answers, it's not the same as writing GS answers. Optional answers must be written in paragraphs mostly and must contain some description and not in short form. 9. Link Paper 1 and Paper 2 concepts in the answers. Try to sprinkle the thinker's name and their studies every now and then. 10. Lastly have faith in your optional. I was once about to leave Anthro for something else. Marking in every optional is now being scaled down and the papers are not merely a repetition of PYQs. All optionals are equally good and bad and have their own pros and cons. What you should focus on is getting conceptual clarity. @Prashantgupta23 (P.S. This is not an endorsement for Shiva Sir. I have genuinely gained from his content. I have tried to be as honest as I could have. Before exploring any course by any teacher, do your own research always.)

As we know Committee recommendations can fetch extra marks in Mains. This document has all major committees of GS1,GS2, GS3. Like most compilations, this isn't copy paste of all recommendations but rather a short note from those compilations. Further, some suggestions are so good can be used as your own way forward without mentioning the committee name. Personally I feel I needed to revise it 10+ times, especially 1-2 times before every test so that I can reproduce it and internalise it. So start now and don't wait till the last weeks of mains. Note: This wasn't made by me, but rather a topper, u can use this as a framework and edit and add or delete as per your own needs. For other compilations like ethics diagrams, Good governance pictorial representation etc can join and see pinned posts of: https://t.me/joinchat/Qd1cFxGL5obwsHfSOqQFuQ
