And now the key update is CHPs Bill 2022 is still up for 100% deletion.
After failing to get a no objection earlier it seems CHPs couldn't convince Senators enough.
PHCA 2023 killed the CHS Bill. - It is now clear it buried CHPs Bill too
Only the President can make Senate change their stand in a big shift.
Na CHPs Bill seems gone for good because with Raila gone the CHPs Bill MP was a Raila MP and vindu vichenjanga.
Will the Senators surprise us?
Now we wait to see development of Career Pathway Guidelines for CHPs, development of Selection and Replacement Guidelines for CHPs and development of Motivation and Remuneration Framework for CHPs because that will most likely be the next thing to trigger a future CHPs regulatory bill.
A CHA/Os regulatory bill could be coming in 2028 too. | 93 |

KHPOA has done that well by working with SOCHE + CHESOA and DCH.
KHPOA should provide a unregulated health cadres they regulate a public register.
KHPOA + SOCHE should develop a CHAs Code of Conduct.
KHPOA can help CHAs get visibility on professional regulation.
KHPOA is a the lead agency in CHAs continuing professional development, scope of practice, ethics and career progression.
The KHPOA CHAs Licence:
1. Gives a CHA official professional recognition
2. Proves a CHA is qualified
3. Establishes a CHOs regulatory basis for distinguishing a trained, registered CHAs from an unqualified person performing community health functions or quacks.
4. Offers public protection
5. Strengthens a CHA/CHO's professional profile when applying for county, national-government, NGO or private-sector opportunities.
6. Builds to a database for better CHOs workforce data - How many CHAs/CHOs exist, where they are, and what qualifications they hold
7. Guarantees CHAs a stronger professional voice - In proper deployment, remuneration, career structures, training standards and recognition | 104 |
