🍃The Wooden Calf
Once a man made a calf out of wood. The wooden calf could move its tail and head and almost looked like a real calf. The man was silly enough to think that the calf would become big one day. He told a shepherd to take it to graze.
He asked the shepherd to carry the calf to the meadow as it was too small to walk on its own. The shepherd was also foolish. He put the calf with the other cows out on the grass.
In the evening, when the calf was nowhere to be seen, the shepherd thought that it must have walked back on its own and came back empty-handed. The owner was very angry and blamed the shepherd for losing his calf.
The matter was taken to the judge and the judge gave his decision in favour of the owner. The shepherd was asked to give him a cow as compensation for losing the wooden calf. That’s how a wooden calf became a real cow.

☀ حديث الصباح ☀
( سُنَنٌ مَهجُورةٌ - 16 )
"ترك الطعام الحار حتى يبرد"
عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ الله عنها أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ إِذَا ثَرَدَتْ ، غَطَّتْهُ حَتَّى يَذْهَبَ فَوْرُهُ ، ثُمَّ تَقُولُ:
( إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: [ إِنَّهُ أَعْظَمُ للبرَكَةِ. ] )
حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ رَوَاهُ ابن حبان.
الثَّرِيد = طعام من خبزٍ مفتوت ولَحْم ومَرَق.
فَوْرُهُ = بخاره ودخانه.

☀ Hadith of the day ☀
( Deserted Sunnahs - 16 )
"Leaving the food till its steam had gone."
Asmaa the daughter of Abu Bakr (May Allah be pleased with her) said that when she was brought thareed (a mixed dish from bread, meat and soup) she ordered it to be covered until the force of its steam had gone,
( saying she had heard the Prophet (PBUH) says it is more effective in producing a blessing. )
Narrated by Ben Hebban.

☀ حديث الصباح ☀
( سُنَنٌ مَهجُورةٌ - 14 )
"الشراب على ثلاث دفعات"
عَنْ أَنَسٍ بنِ مالكٍ رَضِيَ الله عنه قَالَ:
( كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الشَّرَابِ ثَلاَثًا وَيَقُولُ : [ إِنَّهُ أَرْوَى وَأَبْرَأُ وَأَمْرَأُ. ] )
رَوَاهُ مُسلِم.
يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الشَّرَابِ = أثناء الشراب.
أروى = أكثر رِّيا.
أبرأ = أبرأ من ألم العطش.
وأمرأ = أجمل انسياغا.

( Deserted Sunnahs - 14 )
"Drinking in three gulps"
Anas Ben Malek (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that,
{ the prophet (PBUH) used to breathe three times (outside the vessel) in the course of a drink and said: [ It is more thirst- quenching, healthier and more wholesome.] }
Narrated by Muslim.
