We used AI to reimagine the moment when Ibn Battuta visited Delhi. Delhi was a city filled with grand courts, crowded bazaars, and stories waiting at every corner. Ibn Batutah visited Delhi in 1334. He stayed in the city for several years and worked as a judge. From there he will depart to China. Through this visual, we try to imagine what he might have seen and felt as a traveler far from home, stepping into a world so different yet so alive. Watch NOW https://youtube.com/shorts/f2jRTPUqEgA

https://youtu.be/_BV0RxVN0qA Watch our latest video *Mughal Royal Seal*. In this video, we take a close look at the royal seal of the last Mughal Emperor, Bahadur Shah Zafar. At first glance, it may look like a piece of art, but look closer and you will find his entire bloodline traced back through time. From the center where Bahadur Shah Zafar’s grand title sits, we trace the names outward, through the powerful reign of Akbar, back to the founder Babur, and even further to the man where it all began: Amir Timur.

Egyptian men watch as the German Graf Zeppelin floats over the pyramids of Giza. 1931. Graf Zeppelin (LZ 127) was one of the most advanced and celebrated airships of its time. The people seated in the foreground are local Egyptians, watching as this symbol of modern technology passes above one of the world’s most ancient monuments. During the late 1920s and early 1930s, Zeppelins were used for long distance passenger travel and global demonstration flights. Graf Zeppelin conducted several international voyages, including routes connecting Europe, the Middle East, and South America. Its flight over Egypt was part of a broader tour showcasing Germany’s engineering prowess and the future of air travel.

The Umayyad Mosque, also known as the Great Mosque of Damascus, stands as a breathtaking testament to Islamic architecture and the rich cultural heritage of Syria. Situated in the ancient city of Damascus, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, this mosque is not just a place of worship but a symbol of historical significance and architectural marvel. The Umayyad Mosque was commissioned by the Umayyad Caliph Al-Walid I in the early 8th century, around 706 AD. What makes the Umayyad Mosque truly remarkable is its architectural innovation and grandeur. The mosque’s design reflects a synthesis of Byzantine and Sassanid architecture with early Islamic styles, creating a unique structure that has inspired countless other Islamic buildings. The mosque is renowned for its expansive courtyard, large prayer hall, and exquisite mosaics that depict paradisiacal scenes, intricate geometric patterns, and floral motifs. The mosque’s most striking feature is its towering minarets, which have stood the test of time and conflict. The Umayyad Mosque has served as a centre for Islamic learning and scholarship for centuries. It has also been a place where Muslim, Christian, and Jewish communities coexisted peacefully, highlighting the rich, multicultural nature of Damascus. Over the centuries, the Umayyad Mosque has faced numerous challenges, including fires, earthquakes, and most recently, the impacts of the ongoing Syrian conflict. Despite these challenges, the mosque has been a symbol of resilience for the people of Damascus and Syria.

Pope Leo tweeted about the Council of Nicaea. But what was the Council of Nicaea about? The Council of Nicaea, held in 325 CE in the ancient city of Nicaea (modern-day İznik in Türkiye), was one of the most significant events in early Christian history. Convened by the Roman Emperor Constantine, it brought together bishops from across the Christian world to settle major theological disagreements. At the center of the debate was the Arian controversy, sparked by the priest Arius of Alexandria, who argued that Jesus was created by God and therefore not co-eternal or equal to God the Father. This challenged the developing understanding of the Holy Trinity and caused deep divisions within the early Church. In response, the council produced the Nicene Creed, a declaration affirming that Jesus Christ is of the same substance as God the Father, fully divine and eternal. This became a core foundation of mainstream Christian doctrine. The Council of Nicaea also addressed issues related to Church authority, the date of Easter, and uniformity of belief. Its decisions laid the groundwork for the structure and theology of Christianity as it evolved through subsequent centuries.
