SURGWEEK-2 | MILESTONE UPDATE Three weeks down — and we’ve officially reached the midpoint of our collaboration between EMSA Jimma SCORE and the Department of Surgery! What started as a commitment to create meaningful research and clinical learning opportunities for medical students has now reached an important milestone. On our way to hospital visit, EMSA Executive Board members observed a critically ill patient suffering from disease complications due to lack of financial support. We contributed 2,350 ETB to cover the medication payment. This effort reflects our commitment to supporting our community and addressing urgent healthcare needs. As the representative body of students pursuing the Doctorate of Medicine, EMSA Jimma aims to contribute even more to our members and the wider community in the future.
