A free health check up as scheduled on the occasion of 20th Founder’s Day of Sandeep Sir’s Doon Defence Academy was offered to all the underprivileged and deprived sections of the society to provide them with an opportunity so that any chronic illness or serious ailment can be diagnosed and cured at the right time. Free health check up makes it affordable to those people who are suffering due to medical issues and are unable to go to the doctor due to lack of funds. The students of Doon Defence Academy and Pratham Pag expressed enthusiasm and fervor at the prospect of celebrating the Independence Day by brandishing the National Flag Tiranga and shouting slogans. The importance of the day suggests that we still need to strive hard to make our country independent of the vices and many social, cultural, and political evils that are hampering the development of this beautiful land of sages. However, the noble task of Blood donation and health checkup were conducted successfully with the collaborative efforts of the Health checkup medical team of doctors and their assistants and the blood donation team of volunteers who worked for the well-being of others. The 20th Anniversary of Sandeep Sir’s DDA saw the expansion of Sandeep Sir’s DDA metamorphose into an academy of distinction and prestige.

The preparations for the event are in full swing. Additionally, the foundation day of DDA was also be observed. The flag hoisting ceremony commenced at 09:30 AM at the academy headquarters in the presence of the dignitaries, delegates, faculty members and staff members along with the DDA and Pratham Pag students. The event was captured through photographs and videos with a drone taking the aerial view of the celebration. The slogans ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and many more such patriotic slogans filled the air. All the DDA boys and girls were dressed in their DDA T-Shirts. A blood donation camp organized by Shri Mahant Indresh Hospital and a free health check-up camp led by Dr. Shashank Mittal of Healing Touch Hospital marked the day. Sweets were distributed among the students, faculty, and staff of Foundation Course 02, as well as the entire DDA community. A high tea was arranged for the administration and the staff members. Flag Hoisting -The flag hoisting ceremony took place at the Doon Defence Academy premises on August 15 (Thursday) at 09:30 AM. DDA Students reported to the academy by 09:00 AM sharp. The Director Mr. Sandeep Gupta awarded and felicitated the Agniveers who got their final selection in Indian Navy and Indian Air Force confirmed after qualifying the NDA written exam and the SSB interview. The Agniveers of Sandeep Sir’s Doon Defence Academy were given the special privileged to hoist and unfurl the National Flag Tiranga and finally the Directors Mr. Sandeep Gupta and Mrs. Divya Gupta together with the Agniveers conducted the Flag hoisting ceremony. The soulful rendition of the National Anthem reverberated in the entire DDA campus as its melody was tuned to the musical notes filling everyone’s heart with patriotism and love for their country. The Director wished the DDA students appearing in the NDA II exam all the best.He emphasized the importance of attending the national event and participating in the blood donation and free health check-up campaigns. DDA Foundation Day -After retiring from the Indian Navy in 2005, Sandeep Gupta established Doon Defence Academy on August 15, 2005, with the objective of providing academic and physical training to young boys who wished to make a brilliant career in Indian Armed Forces. Since then, DDA has progressed with leaps and bounds. It has grown into a prominent institution due to the dedication and commitment of Sandeep Sir to serve his country. He has come a long way in these 19 years due to the unwavering support of his wife, Divya Gupta. DDA now prepares students for careers in the Indian Armed Forces and the Merchant Navy. More than 13,000 DDA alumni are serving in the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, and Merchant Navy. They were all indebted to the Academy for the support provided as it enabled them to get distinguished designations in Indian Armed Forces. Blood Donation -Blood donation Campaign is regarded as a great act because it can save many lives. Donating blood removes 225 to 250 milligrams of iron from your body, which reduces the risk of heart disease. Additionally, blood donations undergo several free tests by blood centers, which help in preventing serious illnesses. Regular blood donation can, therefore, contribute to your well-being and help you to remain protected from severe diseases. Blood donation campaign commenced in the morning as it was scheduled on Independence day to give the important message of service to humanity through selfless endeavors.

स्वतंत्रता दिवस पर डीडीए में शान से लहराया तिरंगा 15 अगस्त को डीडीए ने पूरे किये सफलता के शानदार 20 वर्ष पूरे इस मौके पर सम्मानित हुए अग्निवीर (डीडीए डायमंड्स) फ्री मेडिकल चेकअप व ब्लड डोनेशन कैंप का भी किया गया आयोजन देहरादून। भारत की आजादी के 78वें स्वतंत्रता दिवस पर संदीप सर दून डिफेंस एकेडमी में तिरंगा शान से लहराया। साथ ही दून डिफेंस एकेडमी ने भी सफलता के शानदार 20 वर्ष पुरे होने का जश्न मनाया गया। इस दौरान छात्रों के 'भारत माता की जय" और जय हिन्द के नारों से समूचा क्षेत्र गूंज उठा। ध्वजारोहण के उपरांत डीडीए निदेशक संदीप गुप्ता ने सभी को स्वतंत्रता दिवस की शुभकामनाएं देते हुए कहा कि आइए हम सब मिलकर अपनी स्वतंत्रता और इस महान राष्ट्र के प्रति अपने प्रेम का जश्न मनाएं। "इस विशेष दिन पर, मैं आभारी हूं कि आप हमारे साथ हैं, क्योंकि हम अपने देश की स्वतंत्रता का जश्न मना रहे हैं। आपको प्रेम, आनंद और राष्ट्रीय गौरव से भरपूर स्वतंत्रता दिवस की शुभकामनाएं। साथ ही उन्होंने आगामी 01 सितंबर को होने वाली एनडीए व सीडीएस परीक्षा के लिए भी शुभकामनाएं दी। इस मौके पर उपनिदेशक दिव्या गुप्ता, कमांडेंट कर्नल सुधीर वर्मा (सेनि)सेंटर हेड उमेश कुनियाल, एकेडमिक हेड उदय मेहरा, प्रथम पग के प्रधानाचार्य डीएम थपलियाल, फेकल्टी, स्टाफ व प्रथम पग के छात्रों समेत डीडीए के छात्र आदि मुख्य रूप से उपस्थित रहे। इस मौके पर डीडीए के निदेशक संदीप गुप्ता व उपनिदेशक दिव्या गुप्ता ने अग्निवीर योजना के माध्यम से नेवी व एयर फोर्स में सलेक्शन होने वाले सभी छात्रों आशीर्वाद के तौर पर 10-10 हजार रूपये नगद प्रदान किये गए। छात्रों को उनकी सफलता पर बधाई देते हुए उनके उज्जवल भविष्य की कामना की। अग्निवीर के माध्यम से इंडियन एयर फोर्स व इंडियन नेवी में फ़ाइनल सलेक्शन होने वाले डीडीए के छात्रों में दीपांशु नेगी, आरजू चौहान, प्रशांत मिश्रा, देवांश तिवारी, विजय सिंह व सत्यम चौहान आदि है। कार्यक्रम के दौरान डीडीए परिसर में ही श्री महंत इंद्रेश अस्पताल के तत्वाधान में रक्तदान शिविर व हीलिंग टच अस्पताल द्वारा डॉ शशांक मित्तल के नेतृत्व में निःशुल्क स्वास्थ्य परिक्षण शिविर का आयोजन किया गया। रक्तदान व निःशुल्क स्वास्थ्य परिक्षण शिविर में छात्रों, फेकल्टी व स्टाफ मेंबर्स ने लाभ उठाया। तत्पश्चात फॉउंडेशन कोर्स 02 के छात्रों, फेकल्टी व स्टाफ समेत डीडीए के छात्रों को करंट अफेयर की बुक व ब्लैक पेन आशीर्वाद के रूप में दिया गया।
