Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that a person said:
Allāh's Messenger (ﷺ), who amongst the people is most deserving of my good treatment?
He (ﷺ) said: “Your mother, again your mother, again your mother, then your father, then your nearest relatives according to the order (of nearness).”

Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High,
Who created and perfectly fashioned all,
and Who ordained precisely and inspired accordingly,

But you deniers only prefer the life of this world,
even though the Hereafter is far better and more lasting.
This is certainly mentioned in the earlier Scriptures —
the Scriptures of ʾIbrāhīm and Mūsā.
