What is Sailing Boat? How does it function?
The common sailboat comprises eight essential parts: hull, tiller, rudder, mainsail, mast, boom, jib and keel. The hull is the shell of the boat, which contains all the internal components. Its symmetrical shape balances the sailboat and reduces drag, or the backward pull caused by friction, as it moves in the water. Inside of the hull in the stern, or back of the boat, is the tiller, which is attached to the rudder in the water. Think of the tiller as the boat's steering wheel and the rudder as the tire. To maneuver a sailboat to the right, for example, you pull the tiller to the right side of the boat, causing the rudder to alter its direction.
If you think of the tiller as the steering wheel, then the sails and the keel are the engines. The mainsail is the larger sail that captures the bulk of the wind power necessary to propel the sailboat. Its vertical side attaches to the mast, a long upright pole, and its horizontal side secures to the boom, a long pole parallel to the deck. Sailors can rotate the boom 360 degrees horizontally from the mast to allow the mainsail to harness as much wind as possible. When they pivot the boom perpendicular to the wind, the mainsail puffs outward. Conversely, it goes slack when swung parallel to the wind. This freedom of movement allows sailors to catch the wind at whatever angle it blows. The jib is the smaller, fixed triangular sail that adds additional power for the mainsail. The keel, a long, slim plank that juts out from the bottom of the hull, provides an underwater balancing force that keeps the boat from tipping over. In smaller sailboats, a centerboard or daggerboard serves the same purpose as the keel, but can be raised or lowered into the water to allow for shallow water sailing.

What is Cloud Seeding?
Clouds are made up of tiny water droplets called cloud droplets. Groups of cloud droplets form water vapour (gas) or ice crystals.
Water vapour isn’t dense enough to fall to the ground as precipitation. Instead, it rises into the sky and becomes supercooled. Eventually, it condenses (turns to a liquid) around tiny particles of dust in the sky. These tiny particles are called condensation nuclei. It takes billions of these condensed water droplets to form a visible cloud.
When the water molecules are spread out, they aren’t dense enough to feel Earth’s gravity. When the molecules huddle together, they form larger, heavier droplets. Eventually, they become heavy enough to fall to the ground as precipitation.
Cloud seeding involves modifying a cloud’s structure to increase the chance of precipitation. Cloud seeding adds small, ice-like particles to clouds. Usually, silver iodide particles are used.
These particles act as additional condensation nuclei. Unattached supercooled water vapour molecules in the clouds condense around these particles. Then, the condensed water vapour droplets group together. This process continues until the droplets are large enough to fall as rain!
There are two ways of adding particles to clouds:
Using large cannons that shoot particles into the sky.
Using Airplanes/Drones that drop the particles from above.

How does Google Map predict traffic?
Google Maps bases its traffic views and faster-route recommendations on two different kinds of information:
1. Historic Data
2. Real Time Data
Historical data is the average time it takes to travel a particular section of road at specific times on specific days
Real-Time data is sent by smartphones (GPS) that report how fast cars are moving right then.
Google Traffic uses crowd sourced traffic data and analyzes location details (based on GPS, WiFi and Cell Phone towers) transmitted to them by users of Android and Google Maps. By analyzing the speed of users along a stretch of road, Google generates a live traffic map.
With more and more people using Android devices and Google Maps, Google has millions and millions of minions providing traffic details on a real-time basis. Google analyzes the data obtained (and after removing the anomalies using its own set of algorithms) and provides us traffic flow that we see on our map, which is actually highly accurate real-time display of the number of Android phones that are currently trying to make the same trip.
Apart from their own devices, Google also uses external data services of AirSage and INRIX to increase the accuracy.
