Dear Jimma University undergraduate students,
The University of Copenhagen invites you to participate in BIOSOL2026 Global Student Challenge, a global video competition on biology-based solutions.
The Challenge: Submit a 60–120 second video in English proposing a biosolution to a challenge in your community or region (food, agriculture, environment, or sustainable development).
Prizes: Two winners (one EU, one non-EU) receive a fully funded 7-day visit to Denmark, 29 November–5 December 2026, including international travel, accommodation, meals, and laboratory visits.
Eligibility: Current bachelor's students, or graduates who completed their degree on or after 30 September 2025.
Deadline: 6 October 2026, 23:59 CET

The DSTV Room is now fully prepared and will officially start providing services this coming Wednesday. 📺
🎮 The Games and Recreation Area, including Tennis, Pool, and other games, is also being prepared.
⚽ The Abajifar Stadium football field is currently undergoing maintenance.
In addition, we are preparing and improving several other recreational and sports facilities across the campus. All these facilities are expected to start providing services from the beginning of next week.

Dear Incoming Students,
We would like to inform you that, due to various compelling circumstances, some students may arrive on campus later than the regular gate-closing time of 2:30 LT. We understand that such circumstances may be unavoidable and could otherwise cause unnecessary inconvenience for students.
Taking this into consideration, we have discussed the matter with the Security Team Leader and reached an agreement to temporarily extend the campus gate-closing time to 5:00 LT for the this two days.
Accordingly, all incoming students are kindly advised to take note of this temporary arrangement and make every effort to arrive on campus before 5:00 LT.
Please be aware that this extension is only temporary and applies for this scheduled days. Students arriving after the extended closing time may not be permitted to enter.
